Roach Says the Mayweather fight would be easy

He can fight on the back foot all he wants. If he cant get his lead foot outside of Manny's he will never land a hard punch fighting off of his back foot. You cant fight off your back foot when the guy is outside of your left. If Floyd tries to do that he will loose on points in a very boring fight. And I am taking reach into account that is why I mentioned Oscar who had comparable reach. At that angle the right hand is not there despite the reach.

What is floyd going to do? FedEx his right hand to Manny since he is too far way to deliver it in person?

Here is a drill. Stand orthodox and imagine a target about 2-3 inches outside of your left shoulder and a foot to two feet away. Now off your back foot try to land a solid right hand on that target. You wont be able to do it. Manny's defense is very underrated. He defends himself by creating very difficult angles. If you want to land anything solid on Manny you have to take those angles away.

 

jesus, roach talks so much. he does an interview everyday and changes his opinion constantly. that being said the guy is a genious but he just talks too much.

 

please people if you honestly believe Pac makes easy work of Floyd....then you are delusional my freind as i believe Floyd beats Manny i cant say it will be easy....


all Floyd will do to win is hold....pot shot and hold....dont let Manny set into rhthym or get of flashy flurries to steal rounds.....i can see the fight being boring because will have to do so to keep manny from his rhthym and getting those fast combos off.

 

Pac doesn't have better footwork than PBF. His footwork while good is basic in an out movement that can be easily timed and picked apart. It's in no way as versatile as PBF's.

 

I think they should do in this fight like they doin in the RJJ-BHOP FIGHT...50-50 but if a KNOCKOUT IS SCORED than the winner would get 60-40....This will make both men work for their extra 10 percent and if they didnt get the knockout they still gettin 50 percent....MANNY AND FLOYD NEED TO MAKE THIS FIGHT FOR THE FANS!!!

 

hell yea...floyds footwork is stupid ridiculous....manny footwork dont compare with floyds..i think floyd got the best technical skills in the sport today....

Shouldn't Manny and Roach start concentrating on their immediate fight with Cotto ?

They seem distracted....all the noise they are making makes me wonder if
they are scared or way over-confident!!!

Manny getting facials and make up for his movie roles and speaking engagements and getting knocked on his ass during sparring now all of
a sudden Roach is calling for DQ for low blows.

I know its typical Roach jive, but something still seems out of whack in
the Pacquiao camp !!!!

 

One thing I really like about Pacman as a boxer is his accuracy. But there really is no reason for me to believe that Pacman can defeat PBF. He only really has a punchers chance just like most fighters. PBF's 72' inch reach and elite hand speed/reflexes is a killer vs for Pac. Pac would have to lung in to much to get inside which is dangerous.

 

Nah....Roach is just doing his job. He's looking out for PAC as his fighter and doing a little mental warfare to get in or under Miguels skin. Roach and PAC are confident but not overly. They really respect Cotto and know he's capable of winning.

 

It's the style and skills that is a problem for PAC. PAC has the same speed and reflexes to combat Floyd but stylistically PAC is better when he's facing someone going at him instead of backing up and countering which Floyd will bring. It will be a hard fight for both men but I think Floyd is able to get a UD in a very competitive fight.

 

MAKES NO SENSE if it is going to be EASY WHY FIGHT HIM.what a waste of money WATCHING A ONE SIDED FIGHTatsch
