Carrying the extra weight has not been a problem for me for a few years now. Just as soon as I get it off, I'll be a world class athlete.

can he handle the sustained pressure of a very good, strong lww? will pacs power at these higher weights be enough to keep hatton off him? how will pac handle hattons body punches when he gets in close?

hatton is a good come forward slugger, but, uses no head movement, walks forward in straight lines, cuts easily, and pacmans gonna rip him with short straight snappy combination when hatton moves in itl be stopped by cuts in the 10th

hatton doesn't cut easily. we'll know within a few rounds how it's going to go, if pac hasn't got the power to keep him off him, and the strength to stay off the ropes, it could be over by the mid rounds. on the other hand if pac is hurting hatton, because he's going to get hit a lot what ever happens, i can see a stoppage for pac in the championship rounds. it's going to be a guaranteed barnstorming fight whoever wins, becuase they've both got heart and won't have to go looking for each other.

I asked about this 'factor' a little earlier. Will Hatton be in front of Ricky in this fight? I don't see him changing much, but if they just work on defensive movement? How much does this change this match?

how will ricky deal with pacs speed? quickness? footwork? stamina? ellusiveness? southpaw stylistic disadvantage? inevitable strait lefts which will be landing all nite? accumulitve power shots?

most of rickys punches are looping shots. he's a come forward fighter which plays in pacs favor. if we got anything from the diaz/dlh is pac does posses the speed & power with additional weight to stop ricky from bulldozing rite over him. pacs pop>paulies pop. matter fact, pac overall>paulie overall.

pac is the favorite for a reason. there are more questions to how ricky can beat pac than vice a versa. the blueprint to beat ricky is more along the lines of checkers, not chess.

    pac by KO

It's not a big factor. How do you change in a year the habits of a lifetime?

I don't think Hatton will be able to learn head movement that is so ingrained and natural to him that he can avoid Pacquiao's fast southpaw shots. Once he gets hit a few times he'll turn to instinct, and thats come forward face first, with only some lateral movement and no head movement.

In other words his head will be bouncing around like a speed ball against the speed and style of Pacquiao.

OK I'll enlighten you. Pac hasn't proven much at any weight above 130, can he take the punch? The body blows? The physcial strength? The sustained pressure of a natural, top 140lber?

Maybe he can but people who are seeing the answers to any of those questions in the Oscar and Diaz fights are way off the mark.

I don't see any possible way that Hatton can win this fight, other than Pacquiao giving it away. Hatton is not skillful enough to out box Pacquiao and not fast enough to win a brawl. Pacquiao won't be as friendly and cooperative as Malignaggi.

    :deal

in this case its not just ricky but almost every fighter resorts to instinct and what they already know.

i expect to see the same old hook & hold hatton after round 2.
