People can say what they like about Roach, but the guy has forgotten more about boxing than any of us will ever know.

Wow has Cockroach actually watched Mayweather fight southpaws? He uses a high defence guard and usually is on the offence, similar style that he did against Mosley.

If he got hit a lot against Mosley compared to other fights then he must not have been hit at all before

He's going to make it look easy.

Do you also believe Roach when he says Floyd has lost his legs? No one is taking away the fact that he's a good trainer, but he's also a member of team pacquiao.

Yea......that's what everyone says before having to face Manny.

No...not at all. Roach always says things like that about opponents that faces. It's to get under their skin and to get them riled up. He said **** about Hatton, DLH, Cotto, EM, MAB and JMM. They were all negative and I don't think he really meant everything he said.

Floyd just faught a different style vs Shane that had him more stationary than usual.....but Floyd adjusts to fighters he faces. He'll be on the move with Manny...I just think Roach "HOPES" that Floyd will fight the same kind of fight he did with Shane.

Ya pac-floyd would be competitive for a little bit but floyd would beat him...floyd has the style advantage and he wont be there to hit like cotto clottey and the rest...

Floyd should knock pac out inside of 11 rounds...

Floyd can get at Freddie Roach all he wants but he can't fight Freddie Roach on fight night he's gonna have Pac in front of him.

If filing a lawsuit isn't a defensive reaction on pac's part then I don't what is. Emmmanuel just literally told the teacher that the big bully, Floyd, is picking on him.

It's going to be 3 on 1 when the **** talking comes. There's Roger, Sr, and Jr. Who does emmanuel have in his camp to do the **** talking? Just roach.

Well, I do remember Floyd Mayweather Sr stating that he doesn't like his son fighting southpaws, but he never really specified why. Could this be the reason? (He was the one that taught Jr the shoulder-roll, I'm assuming, as I remember him using that style himself, whereas Roger was more offensive orientated.) I'm not sure if Roach is bluffing or not, but one thing I do know is that it would be highly dangerous to assume Floyd's legs have gone. I know Roach isn't that stupid, and he'll surely get Pac ready for a fleet-footed Floyd as well as a flat-footed one. I can only assume that he's trying to get to Floyd and irritate him, or provoke him into taking the fight with less conditions.

The high guard sounds like a bad idea against Pac, because he can dart in and out with combos, and the high guard obscures your vision -- Judah was hitting Floyd with clean bodyshots early in the fight because Floyd had the guard up high, and couldn't see those shots coming. We've seen Pac pour in body combos against Clottey in his last fight (who was fighting with a high guard himself) so Floyd would have to be very careful. Then again, maybe Pac is so fast and explosive that the shoulder-roll would be too risky -- it depends upon Floyd's super quick reflexes more than anything, which is why it's much more unorthodox than the traditional guard. I'm not sure, to be honest...Roach has certainly raised an interesting point, but I don't know enough about shoulder-roll fighters versus southpaws to make any real conclusion here. I don't think I've ever seen a fight between those two styles, much less a fight with these two styles combined with the A grade talent that these two guys bring to the table. This whole fight is a mystery.

I actually agree with that. Floyd is a master at mind games and he's a cool as the other side of the pillow during negotiations.. Floyd can walk it and talk it even if some of hte things he says are for entertainment purposes.:smoke

:huh You are missing the big picture.....it wasn't that Manny TOLD ON FLOYD....it was Floyd who indicated he wouldn't face Manny unless he gave in to demands that he requested as a way for them to fight. They've both taken defensive actions but Floyd initated the defensive mind set by pushing the demands to ultimately halt inital negotiations.

Only a true ***** would use an example of a guy who lost all 12 rounds to Pac as an example that Pac can be beaten.
