Roach... said the decision to hire the venerable 87 year old trainer Angelo Dundee as a consultant was “a slap in the face of trainer “Nacho” Beristain. If I was Oscar’s trainer and they do that to me, I’ll leave. There is room for only one boss in the training camp. With two it doesn’t work.”

How about Roach minds his own damned business!

If I were him, I wouldn't even want to be involved with this WWF-like match-up.

Bringing in Dundee is part of the hype job to sell the fight. Beristaing said it himself, "Oscar needs no trainer for this fight."

Roach is just a plonker - he ought to concentrating on training his man, making sure he doesn't get brutally KTFO.

Yeah; he's playing mind games with punters like us, when he should be ashamed of flogging this nonsense in the first place.

As if Beristain or Hoya give a **** about what Roach thinks about their little set-up.

dont get me wrong, i think this is a joke of a fight too. scuttles too many good fights to be made in at least 3 divisions. though considering the amount of money they're projected to draw, i dont blame either camp for taking it.

Sure, I agree; so they shouldn't rub it in promoting the fight by pretending they're trying to get to each other with mind games. Just keep your head down, rake it in and be done with it. Don't add insult to injury by insulting the fans' intelligence even further.

First, Hoya brings Dundee onboard - a pure publicity stunt, and now we have to bear Roach taking down this straw man, pretending he was playing mind games - another pure publicity stunt? It's just too much!

I didn't see Roach leave when B-Hop had three different trainers in his corner for the Calzaghe fight. We can also see that Roach's statement about Hopkins not being able to fight anymore (because of the Calzaghe fight) being entirely wrong. So I take very lightly whatever Roach says that's related with one of his fighters.

The only thing Oscar needs to worry about is making weight.
This fight is such a mismatch because Pac is too small to compete.

Dundee isn't a co-trainer like Steward and Saurez were with Hamed. He's simply there for some input, thats it. He'll be in camp for about a week and review tapes of Pacquiao and give his opinion. He'll not even work the corner. Berstain obviously doesn't have an ego.
