Pac is transitioning into politics - so he can walk away and leave it all behind if he stays smart. A win over Mayweather would be the perfect way to end his career.

Personally I would like him to fight Mosley if he beats Floyd and I would be ok with him retiring then. If he beats floyd and doesnt fight shane that will hurt his legacy i think.

I will miss him like crazy tho he has been one of my fav fighters for years

The real question is what is NOT left to do?, he has a lot of catching up to do, Pacquiao totally stole his spotlight COMPLETELY and his return is OBVIOUSLY to try and counter that even though it's kind of too late. Beating Pac WON'T drop Pac as the greatest fighter of this generation even if he knocks Pac out in one round. To counter what Pac did he should move up to middleweight and win a title there and also in super middleweight, that would also make him a 7 weight division champion BUT still Pac is ahead, Pac is also the first ever to win the lineal title in four different weight divisions. I know that might be considered too much but hey, Pac accomplished what's too much as well by making these fights when NO ONE gave him a chance, got to take challenges that would make fans go "WTF" when they're signed. Good similar examples of challenges is when Pac moved for DLH, everyone even his biggest fans(myself included) was like "WTF, is this a circus?!", another great example is Marquez moving up two weight divisions to fight Mayweather.

Guys like Paul Williams, Shane Mosley and many others should be dealt with, even if he loses at least he fought them, that's what matters and rematches are always open if a loss occurs.

What if? Void refused to fight Pac before the Cotto fight. Void refused to fight Cotto, Pac, Mosely, Margarito, etc.

sad to see that we might just see 1 or 2 more (max) fights from pac. but IMO it is a very smart move, you beat the former p4p#1... then everything is clear, he's the best of this decade. with nothin more to prove, it's good to call it quits before you end up with a serious permanent damage.

Win or lose, I think he will retire as it has been his life long dream to get into politics. I have no idea why he would do it, but if thats his dream then its up to him.
He has made boxing great and it has been fun saying Pac KO 2 Mayweather. :)

He knows Floyd will give him a beating like Gatti recieved. What will he have to offer after Floyd's done with him. It's just a preemptive statement so they can say the retirement had been planned long back.

It's simple Floyd will expose Manny's flaws

I don't think he will retire, always the next big pay day.

I think he will have a farewell fight in his home country but I feel he will have 2 or 3 more fights. I just hope he looks after his money - no crazy investments, just put the money with a good broker.
