Could have, would have, should have...

Isn't that just about every boxer though?

Um...no. Most boxers aren't born with his natural talent or durability and work their asses off to try and get a hold of a world title even if they aren't able to defend it once. So, no most fighters don't have a could have, would have, should have situation at all. Like at the title fights and titles Toney has won. That's certainly not every boxer.

Toney at his best was a special fighter. It's not surprising to hear Roach say that.

    That's a term I don't believe in. And I ment Champions/contenders, eg
What Tyson could have been if he stayed with Rooney and had better discipline.....
What Buster Douglas could have been if he had discipline........
What Oliver McCall could have been if he had discipline...... etc etc

Freddie's original quote was more along the lines of "the most naturally skilled fighter I have ever trained."

    james toney vs iran barkley

if you want to see skill youtube that fight, im talking mayweather hands & andre berto.wtf toney had hands in his prime, he had a chin and he could slip and slide punches like you would not believe.check out that fight im talking bout and you will see.

roach dont always know what hes talking about but toney was a beast.

mma new toney wants to fight in the ufc and dana is going to let it happen.
guess who toney is fighting or might be fighting.tito orttiz or get this kimbo slice.man i think toney would kill kimbo and i can see tito trying to wrestle and ground and pound him.i hate to see toney get embarssed.

toney was graceful in the ring. very nice to watch, balanced in offensive and defensive techniques. He was probably the most technically gifted trainee for Roach, so it is understandable that he commented so.
