You dont believe in natural tallent? :think

So everyone could be as good as for exp Wayne Grezky or Mike Tyson, if they just had same desire and opportunities in life.

There is more to being a fighter than just talent though

things like Focus , dedication and not getting caught doing steroids.

Toney is just a fat waster. Having potential doesn't mean anything unless you use it

I wouldn’t call someone Winning world titles in 4-different weight classes, not using he’s potential.

Sure he could have done more if he was more desiccated, but you make it sound like he didn’t achieve anything.

He is already a ATG, which is great accomplishment.

James was a great fighter, hands down. Technically, he was more gifted than Roy, and if he had Roy's dedication, he would have gone down as the greater fighter. This does not mean that he would have beaten Roy. RJJ had much more physical talent, and this may nullified James' better skills. All fighters meet someone who just has their number. No doubt Toney would have made a better account of himself if he was in shape for this fight.
James had some great wins. Barkley, Prince Charles Williams, Jirov, Holyfield, Ruiz, these were all great wins.
On the PED thing, I believe that James took the drugs to speed up the healing of injuries after surgery. I believe that. It's obvious that he wasn't doing it to enhance his body.

Only unused potential, is it? You mean the guy who went from middleweight to heavyweight and was never stopped and accumulated a record of 72-6-3? The guy who beat McCallum and Nunn? :huh The guy who won world titles in three weight classes from 1991 to 2003 (middleweight, super middleweight and cruiserweight)? Yes, his potential was greatER but what he did was sufficiently great. "Just a fat waster"? I believe he's won 12 major world title fights. Yeah, fat ******* never accomplished anything, did he? Just wasted potential in a fat package. Go watch tennis. You're a dip****.

:think How about not doing steroids at all? If Toney retired today he'd be HOF worthy so he's done enough even without achieving his full potential. I question you...

  11. I agree for the most part, except I think Roy Jones comes right before Toney for MidWeight and up. If roy never went up in weight and then lost all of his muscle when coming back down, he would have been in the game alot longer.

  12. I mostly agree with roach.

Toney is up there with the most comfortable ring generalship ever seen. Skills so relaxed and unforced it's like he's doing work around the house or having a conversation.

His career is flawed but he is definitely a HOF fighter, no question.

I didn't say he never accomplished anything. If you weren't such a toney nutthugger perhaps you would have read what i wrote properly instead of going into your make believe 'oh no he's insulting Toney world'

Toney wanted it, he just wasn't as good as Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins. The fact that he has titles in multiple weight classes shows he wanted it and still is after a heavyweight title which he might eventually get. He's just not the sort of fighter with the physical talent to match his boxing genius.

Some fighters are gifted with bodies that are easy to keep fit. Toney isn't so lucky and he easily gets fat. Sure he could eat better and train all year round, but at his age I don't think theres a lot of time left. He might have one or two big fights left in him at this point.

And that might be all he needs if he gets a title shot.

Total bollocks. It's not a physical or genetic problem, it's self discipine in controlling what you eat. Toney either doesn't have the self discipline to stay on a strict diet, or he's deluded and thinks he's better fighting in the condition he's in
