What a douchebag...as if this guy didn't show he bows to the dollar, when he ditched Israel Vasquez and the rest of his fighters who had upcoming fights to go sub for Floyd Sr.

...now this guy is trying to send the fighter he supposedly "loves like a son," into this fight where he is grossly overmatched, so that he can get his portioin of a **** split...:barf

Roach said it is only De La Hoya who can generate huge pay-per-view numbers as evidenced by his fight with Floyd Mayweather last year that generated over two million buys at $ 54.95 per subscription for a whopping $ 120 million in gross revenue.
Roach pointed out that when Pacquiao fought David Diaz last June, it only generated less than 200,000 buys.

If the fight were to take place at 147 i actually thought Pac stood a decent chance.

Roach has already said he only wants Pac to have a few more fights so i think he was pushing for the DLH fight as this would set Pac up for life money wise (not that he isn't quite rich anyway) and he could retire pretty soon afterwards.

He should stick to his job, shut his mouth and stop dipping his finger on other matters.

Roach just feels he can upset Manny where most aren't giving him a chance. He was only saddened b/c in his heart he feels Manny would surprise the world. I don't think Manny would have won but you never know.

How in the hell is Manny gonna beat Oscar in Vegas when he can barely get past JMM. A smaller not as popular fighter. He would not get a gift against Oscar like he got against JMM. And if no one other than Bernard has KOd Oscar i really dont think Manny can do it.

I agree.....but so did ALOT of other people. DLH, Roach, Pac, Arum....all lost out on a ton of dough. I guess it is the end of story.

I doubt DLH is too broken up about it, he will probably be making about the same regardless of who his next opponent is.

Can you believe he's publicly dissing the Soto match...???

PAC has instructed his handlers, and Roach is expressing dissent about that too.

He shouldn't be shocked if Manny tires of him...

Roach is a Golden Boy puppet. Roach was very much against this fight a few months ago. All of a sudden, Golden Boy puts him on the payroll and he's all about this fight. Manny clearly doesn't want this fight. Roach is doing his best to force it on him. My guess is that the puppet is having his strings pulled by the pupper master.
