Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer, wants the boxer to have an interim fight this summer before he faces the winner of Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Juan Manuel Marquez or another big-name opponent at year’s end.

The question is: Who would he face? There’s no obvious answer.

Timothy Bradley and Edwin Valero are possibilities.

You don't want to put Pac in with Judah.

First of all Zab has done nothing recently to merit a shot at Pac.
Pac would probably stop Judah within 8 but Zab has a decent pop and will always have a punchers chance.

Either Valero or Bradley would be great!

Those kinda fights can be dangerous for a man in Pacquiao`s position... Pac might find it hard mentally to be 100% where as his opponent WILL be 100% obviously going in against the p4p champion.

Id just stick to big fights from now on if I were Pacman, if he wants to keep fresh & keep ringrust at bay then just up the tempo in training, maybe some solid gym wars, just focus on Mayweather rather than looking past a guy like Valero in a fight you dont have to take.

His schedule has been better then anyone else. He probably deserves something like that. Of course, every Floyd fan would cry about that...

When is Pacquiao gonna fight a slick defensive fighter like Guzman or Floyd? He just fights Mexicans and fighters who fight like Mexicans.

Zab Judah. Same size and speed as Floyd. Different style of fighter of course, but you're never going to find someone else as defensively adept as Floyd, so may as well fight someone with similar physical attributes as a tune-up.

Bradley seems about just right to me, he isn't an especially big lad either. He's perfect really..
