LOL The oscar fight, my gardener's brother wanted to bet 2k. I told him I don't want your money since taking it from him will just make me feel really bad. He then proceeded to lower it down to 1k and still, told him no. He lowered it to 500 and I still told him no. He was so confident that Oscar will eat Pacquiao alive. After the fight, my gardener was alone mowing the lawn and pruning the trees. LOL I asked him about his brother and said " my brother is a dumbass. Please don't accept his money because he won't have any more left if you do". I told Pedro ( gardener ) that there wasn't any bets and I know he needs it more than I do.
Marquez was over the hill? So what happened when he knocked Diaz out? Diaz who is young and who only lost to Campbell? It really does prove that whenever Pacquiao fights and beats the guy, they all turn to over the hill, weight drained, old etc. even though they are still in their prime.
The only 2 fights pac deserves full credit for in years are MAB1 and JMM2. He clearly lost JMM2 but his performance was still fantastic Roach wants pac to get full credit for fighting at welterweight, yet makes the fight at 145? The problem really is pac's simply a lot better than nearly every LWW/WW Only against Floyd or Williams i wouldnt heavily favour him in But Cotto and Mosely are still tough fights. While its true Cottos not looked anywhere near the force he was prior to the Margo fight, he's still a dangerous opponent. Clottey can take Cotto's shots - Clottey can take anyone's shots. But can Manny??
am I confused or what, the fight is not even taking place at 147, wow it seems the talk is already getting to Roach... fight him at 147 and you could avoid lack of sleep from the fans and media... don't try to hide the truth...
JMM was over 34 years old when he fought Pac the second time. Definitely not prime. It's a testament to his greatness that he was able to KO both Diaz and Casamayor!
Again, with JMM 2 fight. This content is protected Where is the " clear win " you are talking about? I don't see it. The fight was as close but Pacquiao won. I agree that Mosley and Cotto are very dangerous fighters and I won't be disregarding their abilities. Clottey doesn't move as well as Pacquiao. To say that he does is just wrong. Manny won't be standing there like clottey did. The only part I see what Clottey did that Manny will be doing is putting his gloves high AND will be all over the place.
Wtf are you talking about? Diaz who lost to Campbell? Are you talking about Juan? or David? Cause if you talking about David Diaz, he didn't face Campbell lol.
But when he fought Pacquiao and lost to a split decision, he was shot? I don't think so. I am also a JMM fan but to say he is shot is an insult to his abilities as a great boxer.
I know the difference between David and Juan my friend. David Diaz has a half moon chin and Juan Baby bull Diaz is a fatty.
Don't twist my words. There's a huge difference between being "shot" and "past your prime" and JMM is NOT shot now nor was he shot during JMM/Pac2....................But he was absolutely past his prime:deal
I think the definition of shot and not in his prime can almost be similar. Especially when we are referring to an aging boxer.
Catchweight is what they will say, doesnt Roach realise that by asking fighters to do catchweights n **** he himself is giving those people a built in excuse valid or not ? :huh
I don't think Marquez was past his prime. I think he's looked just as impressive following the second Pacquiao fight as he's ever looked. He still throws those precise counter shots at the right time, has a level punch output, and looks just as quick as ever. Very few guys can be in their prime in their mid thirties (see Hopkins, Bernard), but he's up there. I normally admire Roach's honesty, but this twisting of the Oscar situation is very annoying. He's criticizing outsiders for changing their tune about Oscar, but they had reason to: they were wrong, and then you could just see Oscar looked gone with his stiff posture and slow punches (Manny still deserves credit for taking full advantage of the situation and fighting the perfect fight, though). Roach, however, isn't flat-out saying Oscar wasn't past it but chooses to conveniently leave his prior assessment of Oscar out of the discussion.
