there's no new rule here. isn't it normal to be disqualified if a low blow was deliberate? roach just want it to be emphasized. almost same situation like the pac-jmm rematch where kenny bayless warned team pac that any blow after a knockdown would be subjected to disqualification. team jmm brought this up apparently because they felt that pac should have been disqualified in the first fight.

It's a good idea to get the ref be more aware of this. Miranda lowblowed Abraham around 20 times in their first fight, and what did he do in the second when he couldn't find a way through Abrahams Winky defense ? Low blow.

However, what Freddie should also do is the following. If Cotto does that dirty stuff and the ref does nothing, RETALIATE. Lowblow his balls into the 2nd row, ellbow him, punch him in the throat, headbutt, trip him. Erdei did that when his opponent started to foul him, he immediately powerpunched him in the throat and made a gesture "see, I can do it too if you like". His opponent stopped fouling right away.

Freddie Roach really is a (Joke Coach) in the traditionally sense that a coach should be. Manny will never go down in history as many people thinks. First of all Manny fought a few old legends. A dehydrated Delahoya. Trying to dehydrate Cotto. Really could have lost against Marquez; which as I see was his only real competition against a live and healthy opponent!:hi:! Freddie is just asking for too much. Sugar Ray Robinson didn't ask for catchweights against Jake Lamotta; and Lamotta was so much tougher than Cotto! Floyd Mayweather didn't ask for a catchweight against Delahoya. I mean I like and respect Manny as a fighter but all of the advantages he have in his recent fights are really making me very suspect about how he really is as a fighter!!
Freddie Roach is a good trainer but he asks for too dam much. Cotto should also demand that Manny can't throw off balanced punches, or hold too much! I hope Cotto knocks this fraud out.. I'm tired of Manny (who is a good person) but his act is getting on my nerves!!! Floyd Mayweather would make him look like an amateur and that's why we may never see that fight because Bob Arum and Freddie Roach knows the deal!!!!

Roach and Pac seem to be worried about Cotto's body attack as well they should, Cotto should go to the body every chance he get's.

Is he trying to say Cotto does the low-blows intentionally?

They will not disqualify him for the first low blow that is ridiculous, Roach is becoming such an ass..

It's not head-games when hes trying to tell the refs how to do their job. It won't effect Cotto but it's gonna **** up how the fight is ref'd

Very smart move by Roach. Coach Phil Jackson(who has won a record 10 NBA championshps) often complains about calls before big games. More often than not, his team gets all the calls after he complains. The ref is going to be on high alert looking out for dirty moves by Cotto.
