Roach wants tougher low blow rule for Pacquiao-Cotto

cotto never intentially threw foul blows at anyone.its the media that says all this bull****.if so why didnt he ever through illegal blows at margo after the 7th round when he started to get beat severe

 

**** that watch the Judah fight and tell me he didn't do that on purpose.. judah is the easiest fighter to get off his game and cotto knew exactly what he was doing..

 

maybe you need to watch that fight cause cotto blow was already released when judah decided to pull down his head as he was trying to spin out the way

 

I see your point. But remember the Torres fight, then the Zab fight. What happened after the fights: blah, blah, blah the low blow. :deal

Roach is simply doing his job. It is easy to say settle it in the ring, but after being hit by a low blow especially with Cotto's power, the fighter won't be the same anymore. It is always better to preempt than to come up with a bunch of excuses afterwards.

maybe not the first low blow but if i can recall that blow was landed about 19 sec after zab landed his uppercut and to me it was not a tentional blow and cotto was not hurt from it it might have gotten his attention but the 2nd low blow you could clearly see zab pulling down on his head as his blow was already released.

 

When an orthadox fighter fights a southpaw headbutts are very usual and can't be controlled. When a fighter low blows, rabbid punches, and body slams someone that's another story.

 

He never went low on Torres. It only happened in the fight against Judah which were accidental.

Hard to say whether those shots were on purpose......the first low blow it seems like Cotto was trying to dig a shot under Judah's elbow, and it just went south......
.....the second one Cotto is simultaneously trying to punch but is also ducking at the same time to avoid Judah's incoming shot......

.....there is no proof that that those low blows were intentional, though I would'nt be suprised if they were.


Bottom line for me for those saying the low blows effected the outcome of the fight......that theory would hold water if there were'nt other fights where Judah soured down the stretch of them.......

Judah has a history of not being able to mentally stay in a full fight, and I think that more than anything cost him against Cotto.....not the low blows!

 

The bottom line with Cotto. You play rough with him, he returns the favor. Clottey and Urkal lead with there heads, you get an angry Cotto fighting fire with fire and slamming them to the canvas.

Cotto fans always find ways to defend his fouls. Cotto can choke slam someone and his fans will come out and say well the guy fell into Cotto's chest so Cotto had to get him off.
