    Bingo!

DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito.......none of them are counterpunchers, experts in the art of distance and knowing when to take that step back to fire.

Everyone should take a look at this video of Marquez round after round doing what you just described.

Check Marquez out throughout the fight ducking the shots, taking a step back, and firing hard counters.

JMM has been chasing Pac for a long time now. We can forget about Pac accepting this fight @ 140 or below that. In my previous post in this thread, I stated that this fight will be very possible @ a catch weight of 144. I'm pretty sure JMM would accept that in a heart beat.

    :hi:

Not at 147 I'm not. JMM just can't bring all of his skill level there. The absoluet highest I would want to see this fight would be @ 140.

    Pacquiao Tko8 Marquez @ 147

Marquez has mentioned in the past that he would accept a catchweight of 142-144 lbs.

I believe the fight should be contested at 140 lbs if they're not going to the random drug testing.....

........however, some of the recent posts suggest we should wait to see how Marquez looks vs Katsidis, and I believe this is correct.
If Katsidis looks like he belongs in the ring with Marquez, then I would suggest that Marquez reign as an elite is over, and certainly a fight with Pacquiao should not be made, much less have it at 147 lbs.:patsch:nut

what weight division does pac and mayweather belong?
scratch that! pac is jww and mayweather is ww, no?

there were other viable opponents during that time, why did he make marquez come up in weight? because he just came from a long layoff? because of ring rust? good excuse.

ok ok, let's make it 144, that's good enough(if ever gets made) but then, people will make a big fuss of catch-weight again.
ahh, i guess pac would need to cheat the scales too so he would'nt be criticized with the catch-weight bs right?

Even if JMM demolishes Katsidis, fighting Pac @ 147 is a terrible idea. I don't believe everything Roach says so JMM fighting @ 147 max is just talk w/ no substance.
As far as JMM demanding a random drug test, this is one sure way of this fight not happening at all. Only my opinion though.

This is simple. Manny weighed in at 144.6lbs. They would feed him 7,000 calories a day and wake him up in the middle of the night to feed him. 140 is a good weight. Manny could make 135 if he wanted

fight should be at 140, 147 is too high for JMM, he'll just be a glorified punching bag for Pac at that weight

Thats just the thing.......imo Marquez trusts his own abilities that if Pacquiao were to be fair about the matter, I dont think Marquez would give a damn whether there were random drug tests or not.

99% of *******s criticized Mayweather when the fight with Marquez was made at a catchweight of 144 lbs.
The *******s humiliated Mayweather for coming in weighing 146 lbs vs Marquez, and rightfully so.....They shouted, Marquez is not a Welter.

.....but now that Roach wants Pacquiao fighting Marquez at 147 lbs, they back him 100%, even though according to both Roach and Ariza, they have to overfeed and wake up Pacquiao to give him protien shakes to mantain his weight closer to the welterweight limit.

I dont know how people have the audacity to back Roach on this 147 lbs or bust vs Marquez, when everything they've said in the past about Pacquiao having to be overfed to the tune of 7500 calories a day just to mantain his weight close to the Welter limit.:nut

One thing is for certain, if Pacquiao's next fight is Mayweather, we'll hear Roach and Ariza claiming how Pacquiao is so much smaller that they're having trouble with Pacquiao mantaining his weight near the Welter limit........

If the opponent is Marquez, "this fight could'nt be made at the 140 lbs limit. I dont want my fighter going hungry and weakend to make the weight. Pac's a full fledged Welter now.":nut:nut

Pacquiao on Mayweather......"He is bigger than I am, if I was bigger than him it would benefit me to do the blood tests.":lol:

Unbelievable.:lol:.......there is just no defense for this type of crap.:nut:nut

So he'd be like all of Pacquiao's recent opponents. This fight will definitely be made. At 147 JMM won't be "too good a fighter" like Shane is.
