"The first thing is being able to show in the first round who really the boss is, and that would be the beginning of taking away his comfort zones." -Roach, ABS-CBN News.

I'm telling you guys. The battle of dominance between these two fighters is going to be epic. Both are used to being the boss in the fight, being the ring general. Both will try to establish control. They'll battle to establish the pace, intensity, activity. A lion and tiger stepping into a ring and only one can be the alpha-male in the fight. Very rarely do these super fights live up to expectations but I do hope you are right.

Due to the fact that Floyd stands around more, it should be better than it would have been 5 yrs ago.

I agree completely with you, abuffy. I too have thought how interesting it'll be to watch who establishes dominance. That's one of the most interesting aspects of this fight IMO, the Ring Generalship, and both are experts at it.

On another note, the first round is a round that Pacquiao needs to take. That's typically the easiest round to get off of Mayweather.

I think he stood in the pocket more 5 years ago, when Roger was training him. When he fought Guerrero and Maidana II he danced around too much.

LOL! That's what every trainer of every opponent Mayweather has faced says. Unfortunately for them, it never seems to work out. I agree that Pac's best chance is to jump on Mayweather right away. However, he is going to pay a price for that tactic.

lol, freddie is awesome.. the ultimate trash talker. Recently he's been all over the place - calling Floyd Sr a liability to mayweather camp, that Manny will KO Floyd later in the fight etc...

and you're right, Manny and floyd are always in control of their fights (JMM may have something to say about that) and they generally dominate the center of the ring. Ring Generalship will be up for grabs in this fight.

Though, I think Mayweather will try to establish dominance before the fight. Especially, at the press conference if he talks like this!:rofl:D
