Sorry, it doesn't work this way. A genuine megafight for a title versus a glorified tune-up against a lightweight are not directly comparable. They're the two biggest names in boxing, and they both need each other in this fight. No one wants to see them fight anyone else.

Neither guy has nearly the leverage they want to pretend they do, and neither has a solid case for being a bigger draw. You can say Pac was the draw in his fight with Cotto, but 110,000 of those buys came from Puerto Rico alone. I doubt they were Pac fans. Cotto had something to do with those numbers. No way of knowing how much, but certainly something, just like JMM had something to do with the number in Floyd's last fight.

Until one or the other of them proves to be a DLH type standout that can fight anyone, anywhere, and pull huge numbers they are both on pretty equal footing.

Manny will get the venue and gloves and size of the ring maybe
Floyd will get the higher % of PPV sales though and the weight at 147.

I could see it being 50/50 but buys over 2 million, maybe floyd takes a higher %. They are gonna have to feed Floyds ego somehow. You know Floyd wants Vegas, so for them to get it somewhere else they'll need to give somehting up.

 

I am as big a floyd fan as u will find...he has to take 50-50 at 147...HAS TO!!!!! they will make 30 mil each
