If fighters only fought who was in their weight classes there would have been so many missed fights between great fighters throughout the history of boxing.

I agree with Freddie about the catch weight but 142 is too much for cotto or mosley.

 

Cotto might be claiming he can make it but the excuses of him being drained will be all over even before the fight because of his constant remarks about having serious issues in training at 140 back then.

Regarding Mosley, I just can't see him going that low. He can do it but I don't think it will be a smart decision especially NOT against Pacquiao. Mosley can just stick at 147 and domiante the division, I can see a rematch with Cotto hopefully soon.

 

I think both Cotto and Mosley could actually die if they get down to 142lbs

 

I'm almost 100% sure now that the fight they really want is PBF. The only guy who I think among those that can make 142lbs easy is PBF.

Even 144lbs, I highly favor a Mosley win over Pac.

Pac said he'll fight whoever his promotion puts in front of him. NOT ONCE have I heard him call anyone out.

If they want to fight him it will be on his term. They can make their case when there is a legit contract being thrown around. 144 for the right money is not out of the question. What Fredy threw out is just the starting point for a negotiiation.

It's pretty clear freddie doesn't think Pac can go to 147 and hang with the best.. which is fair enough.

 

He knows who and how his fighter can win a fight.

I remember him saying long ago like "we'll fight Diego, but Castillo is just way too big" or something like that. So he knows the capability and limitation of his fighter. But now of course, Castillo would have been in the mix had he been still active.

Roach will bend some for a chance at Mayweather. I'm thinking 145lb would be the absolute highest he'd be willing to go however the money situation is a whole different story.

 

Move over 168 and 147.

143.5 is the best weight class in boxing. :nut
