This is the problem when you have a guy whos a natural 130 (which he can still make) wanting to fight the best at 147. Come to think about it you cannot ask more from PAc. 147 is just a whole different weightclass for him, hes a damn midget.

The problem here is that its too bad there werent any great 140'ers or wed have great fights made.

Manny to even attemp to fight a legit welterweight is just stretching it

Just fight JMm at 135 or 140

Roach also made a comment about Pac staying active and how they won't fight just anyone. If picking up a belt at 147 is a goal of theirs then Berto might be a viable option because not only can he make the weight, he's considered to be the weakest of the titlists.

I hope this 142 business doesn't leave us all without any attractive options. Freddie already said himself that he doesn't see Marquez getting past Mayweather, like most people. Mayweather is the logistical possibility, but he's going to be a hard head about negotiations. Freddie said he would give Mosley 143, but that ain't much different, clearly. Still, I'd much prefer Team Pacquiao stays smart about this, and I can see they're doing that.

Yeah. I thought this was getting out of hand. People an ESB aren't happy until someone gets knocked down a peg even if it means they have to go fight bigger guys to do it.

I agree with you as usual :good

Its funny how we used to think Team Pacquiao is the one talking out of their minds to go up against the likes of Hatton,DLH and PBF. Now its us talking out of our minds for Pacquiao to go up against the welterweight elites at 147.

And I believe Pac 100%. Whoever they get him he will sign to fight and do his job of training for it, whether it's Mayweather or even Valuev.

That's a little ridiculous. Manny is hot right now but he still isn't prime Oscar (in terms of the amount of blockbuster diva leverage he has).

Pick a weight, kid. Either go for the relatively easy domination at LW/LWW, or take the higher risk/reward battles up above.

Roach is a master luring the top welters into a trap similar to Oscar. No excuses for Ricky but he looked bad during the weigh in I remember Cotto making 140 just bones the older the more difficult to drop few pounds we don't even know if Floyd could make 142 ask Oscar, Guzman, Castillo, the Galaxy Warrior some of these people loose the fight on the scale.

Why should he? There is no reason why any of those guys cannot come down to meet him. Pac has done enough moving up in weight. It is time Mayweather and the others met him at a reasonable weight of 142. The line has been drawn. If you don't want to fight at 142 don't waste your money and time sniffing around for a match up. It ain't going to happen. Fighters should be happy that the weight issues out in the open so they can make a decision before they waste any effort. ODH was the same fighter Mayweather beat by split decision. Easy fight for Pac.
