He isnt Oscar but he is the biggest name the sport has to offer. Who else is everyone going to aim for a superfight?

People have to think that hes done this weight jumping in a years time. Give the guy a break. Let him fight some good fighters at 135-140 or a WW at a catchweight.

Jesus, this forum has gone insane, why not ask for Hopkins vs. Haye they could certainly meet at a catchweight, Williams against Dawson? Why not? Because they arent suppose to meet:patsch

Pac is a rare fighter who does this and now all of a sudden its the new Fad??? JMM as well has to be commended, hes chasing Pac all over. But what about the outher SFW and LW??? Soto, Diaz, Campbell and co? why wont they move up? I mean ****in Guzman is practically killing himself to make weight, why wont he go up instead.

    Just putting things into perspective.

I hear now that if PAc fights or even beats Cotto. COTTO!! He shouldnt get credit because he "avoided" Floyd.. I mean WTF???

OK but stipulating that top welterweights shed an extra five pounds for the privilege of facing him? Just fight the guys at 140 or move up if you want to fight welterweights, wtf.

I liked Manny before the spotlight got to his head. If he has any input into this BS, that is, and it isn't just Freddie kicking up dust to drum interest in the next superfight.

He had DLH beat in negotiations, the fight was a formality. DLH was so afraid of having to give up millions because of the weight clause he got stupid in the way he lost weight and got down to the weight way to early and couldn't gain any by fight time.

Like I said, Freddy will be living with the tapes and expect any fight he approves to be winnable.

Just slid in into my head friends . . . it seems to me that Roach is already sending a messahe to PBF that he needs to go down at 142.

I don't think PBF's gonna have problem going down to 142. What do you guys think?

i totally agree with roach. pq do not need them as they need pq. if they want a piece of pq then, they have to take a little sacrifice. even at 140 hatton looked too big for pq. to agree to fight more than what roach is suggesting is a stupid move. team pq is not that desperate and suicidal. for pq money is secondary now. legacy is the best he can give to his family and to the filipino peoples.

Well these big welterweights are the ones who want the fight more than team Pacquiao does, Roach has given them an option, its really all about who wants the payday the most.

Freddy isnt going to throw his prize fighter against a fighter who could possibly weigh 160lbs on fight night while his fighter weighs 10-15 lbs less.

How so? He said he'll fight anyone. He didn't call out anybody. His promotion is telling bigger guys, the key word here is BIGGER fighters, if they want a piece of the Pac pie it starts at 142. They aren't trashing talking or calling anyone out. They threw out names of people who would like a fight with him and these people (Cotto, Mosley to just name a few)have stated so publicly.

    Exactly.

Let Mosley go fight Paul Williams at 147.
Let Mayweather if he wins, go fight the winner of Cotto / Clottey.
    Let Cotto fight Mayweather.
Berto if he beats Urango is another option.
Cintron coming down if he loses to Angulo.
Plenty of options for these welters.
Pac is supposed to move up and meet them up there at 147? Ridiculous. There is a good chance Mayweather can make 140 without any trouble. If you think Pac is wrong for wanting them to come down, what do you think of Mayweather having JMM, who is career 126 and only had one fight at 135, move up 9 pounds to face him?
Pac does not belong at 147. DLH was a one off in which Freddy had the perfect plan with the perfect fighter.
Arum is insane. He wants Pac vs JCC Jr.

Cotto will be drained at 142 and probably even 144. Bad idea.
Mayeather vs Pac would is maybe the biggest fight in the history of the sport at 142. Mayweather might not take it. I know Pac and Roach and Arum would.
Mosley can't get down far enough and said so. I can see Arum trying to force this fight to happen at 145. Bad idea for Manny. Mosley will be much stronger and damn fast on fight night. Too big and also quick.

Pac has made a lot of cash. If he fights twice more the next fight should be Mayweather / Marquez winner at 140 or up to 142 if he has to for Floyd.
If Mayweather wins and ducks out sighting money and weight, and if Marquez performed reasonably well, and didn't get knocked out, and won at least four rounds, than Pac vs JMM 3 is the fight that needs to be made at 140.

If JMM was competitive vs FMJ it will be a viable fight. I would favor Pac to dominate this fight at 140 unless JMM shows me something I don't know in the Floyd fight.

Beyong that, I would actually like to see Pac do a whole bunch of fights at 140. Fight whoever the top guys are.

Maybe he could just start pasting the top names. Or maybe not. But he wont' do that because its less money and plenty of hard work and risk and boxing isn't like that anymore. But maybe a name at 140 can rise up over the next year and make a fight with manny a superfight.

Bradley being the leading contender, but its a bit shaky. It might be someone else.

No kidding. You'd think some of the dopes in here would have been around boxing long enough to figure that out.

Bradley or Valero? Pac just made 12 million guaranteed. He's arguably the biggest draw in boxing and is planning on only fighting two more times. Why the **** would he fight Bradley or Valero for chump change? :patsch
