That would be tough to do. What would Maidana do? Go all Jimmy Thunder on his ass?

No surprise here. Maidana is a high risk low reward proposition and Khan hasn't developed well enough yet to prove that he is ready for such a step up. Morales on the other hand is viewed as a low risk high reward opportunity. Personally I'd rather see Khan against Salita and continue to gradually intensify the level of competition rather than just throw him in with the lions of the division.

There's something to this; the thing is, it renders the word "champion" basically meaningless in boxing. If it's "smart" for a boxer to bin his title rather than fight his #1 challanger...you don't have to be old to remember a time when a differnent word was aplied to such a fighter. The word was "coward".

Is Roach seriously referring to Eric Morales? Or is there some 140 pound mexican morales I have not heard of?

That's why I like Jermain Taylor. He is not the smartest guy in the ring but he fights everybody and ducks no one.

And a Morales fight would be patetic.

You've got to be ****ing joking, right?

He hasn't come back from a loss, coming back from a loss is rematching the man that beat the **** out of you and overcoming him. Khan has fought 3 feather fisted fighters since the match-making blunder that was the Prescott fight, and I swear the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in all my years of watching boxing was seeing that cocksucker Warren begging the officials to stop the fight against Barrera when Khan got wobbled. Warrens at it again in this weeks papers, slating Hatton and saying Khan would beat the **** out of him if they fought whilst safe in the knowledge that Hatton (for all his faults he's wise) would never fight on a Warren card ever again.

If Khan V Morales is made I hope Morales digs out one last great performance and puts this mouthy little **** into early retirement - and then knocks Roach out after the fight. It's amazing to me that Roach whines and bitches about his condition yet has no problem putting fellow fighters at risk like this, it's truly disgusting.

blame it on the fans. These days if you lose once, you're labelled a glass-jawed hype job, and if you lose twice, say goodbye to the million dollar paydays. Khan is a big name with alot of money coming for him, so I don't consider him a coward for wanting to develop into a complete fighter before taking on really tough challenges.

See if he fights Maidana next, in his last 5 fights his opponents will have been two big punchers and a modern legend who you were predicting would KO him. Maybe then you should give him some credit.
