Berto who went life and death with light-punching collazo and was made to look average by Steve Forbes? lol he would beat Pac? the same Pac who toyed with Miguel Cotto? Miguel Cotto could whip berto anytime lol

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does Berto use a shoulder roll? If anything, during the Urango fight I saw him clinch more than anything, and besides that I've seen his defense rely more on footwork.

Once again, it could just not be as developed and accentuated as Floyd's so I might not be picking up on it.

Berto does use the shoulder roll but it certainly isn't as prevalent nor as effective as when Floyd uses it.

Berto's defensive posture is to keep his left down with his chin somewhat tucked. He does tend to abandon it at times especially when he wants to open up his offense.

Here's a vid of him using it against Rodriguez and Max even mentions it in his commentary. 3:45

In fairness PBF is a very smart, precise, fast, and athletic boxer. From a pure boxing perspective we could say that he is virtually complete....boxers like him are rare. So i guess Berto is better than the rest of what is available.

On the other hand....who can Floyd spar with to emulate Pac

Give Guzman his biggest wish of fighting Pacquaio.

Atleast even in sparring session. Hehe.

Roach should also get Usain Bolt.

Kidding aside, I've seen Berto fight. He can emulate Floyd's style. Just a tad slower though.

There is definitely some resemblance of Floyd, in Berto's style. I think he would be a great sparring partner for Pac.

Speed and movement. It's impossible for them to find anything to 100% imitate Mayweather who is unpredictable and not one dimensional. Mayweather tends to get aggressive, defense and a little of both whenever he feels he needs to, that's what makes him special. Berto isn't a bad choice to spar with him for some speed and movement. Of course they will get different fighters with different abilities/styles for Pac to practice different moves against, that's what they are aiming for, getting Pac used to what move to apply when the situation calls for it.

Good luck getting Berto as a sparring partner. The guy has a fight January 30th. I doubt he would turn right around and start sparring with Pac. Not only that, but he's an Al Haymon client. The same Haymon who represents Maywewather. It sounds like team Pac is blowing smoke out their asses with this one.
