I take it this is in a bid to improve his chin......

Khan was in the paper today saying that Roach has said he wants him leaner up top and wants him to put more muscle on his legs.

Khan has said it will make him more explosive, but how much will that improve his chin?

i think its a bid to improve his center of gravity
so he has strong balance and doesnt fall down too much lol

i said it before and i'll say it again roach is not the right coach for khan it was a very very big mistake to choose roach for khan
roger and floy mayweather would have been just right
even buddy mcgirt would have been a better match up then roach

I totally agree. All Khans muscle should me on his legs. He just needs a decent build up stairs but he needs big stocky legs for power and strength.

I don't see what it matters, plenty of top fighters have had chicken legs and top-heavy. For the most part that's just the way he's built. No need to talk about the chin again.
but why is Roach wasting his time with a guy who is euro level at best? I guess it's just money.

Nothing in the world can save ANY fighter if they aren't A-level.

No matter WHO trains Khan, he can't beat the top dogs at 135-140. EXCEPT for the fringe title holders, you know what I mean?

You can't put muscles on your chin im afraid know matter who trains you its in your genetic build up.

Some guys hit hard and some don't, some fast and some don't and some have good chins but others don't.

    Thats the way it works

Thats because he cant take a punch, not because of where he is carrying muscle.

Ok guys if you compare Amirs body frame from his first pro fight you will see how much muscle he has packed on to his upper body, all this thanks to his strength and conditioning coach who doesnt know jack about boxing and what is required, i hear he works for the rugby side of things. Too much muscle is a disadvantage to a boxer especially where Khan has put it on, he was looking more like a bodybilder, this extra muscle will also slow him down. I know a lot of guys will say he wasnt big, im not saying hes big, but all this bodybuilding is definately not required. Compare him from previous fights and you will realise he has put on too much muscle. Thanks

aye .khan is big for light weight.he is a heavy handed puncher for this weight....but he has to focus on his defence.the measure for me of Amir khan is the way he works on this.He can have all the work on everything but his defence;he has a glass chin. That cant be changed but if he can sort this out this will make him a slightly better boxer.

For me khan needs to ditch the yes men.

He definately need to ditch his team, meaning Asif Vali (manager) ex Joe Bloggs dude!! These guys dont know nothing about the game and will get Khan swalloed also that strength and conditioner. Roach is a good choice, he knows what the game is all about. Also the dinners and all the other celebrity bull**** needs to go, i remember asking Khan for a pic at the Kostya Tszyu v Hatton fight after spending the last couple of hours with Chicco Corrales, Steve Collins, Nigel Benn, Winky Wright, danny Williams all humble fighters who had all the time in the world for me and signed autographs and photos, then when it came to Khan he was so arrogant and refused that it pissed me off so much i told him to take a chill pill and get his feet back on the ground, i told him "you aint done **** yet brother" i just spent the last hour talking to champions......he started to beleive his own hype. i think its the best thing to ever happen to him.
