Roach's comments on Marg's wraps

    Roach stated that he was informed by some of Margarito's sparring partners that Marg wears plaster of paris even while sparring.

    To me the comments hold no credibility. If the sparring partner was aware then why go ahead and risk your health. A lesser fighter could've been banged up and now uses this as an excuse.

    What do you guys think about these accusations?

    Honest opinions please.

    Actually Roach said it was a different party who mentioned the story about Tony using plaster in sparring. Not the sparring partner who had an orbital bone broken by Margarito.

    No need to get all bend bud. I actually recorded FNF and I'm checking it out right now. It wasn't the kid that got busted up who said it but a different party.

    He also stated that Marg's camp said it was to protect his hands.

    So obviously, if true, people were aware. Why the hell spar with someone if you know he has bricks in his gloves?

    Roach's exact words, " They said He uses it eveyday to protect his hands."

    Whether it was brass knuckles...plaster of paris....glue....oatmeal....roll of quarters....whatever it was....it was illegal and confiscated by officials.
    Because it was CHEATING.....it was DIRTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The power of suggestion is a powerful thing. Boxing has a sudden witch hunt on its hands, witnesses are coming out of the wordworks. Freddie Roach should have made no comment on it, of course Roach has become more and more classless lately.
