No this thread is not about trying to make a great out of someone who never even came close. But to appreciate a man who exemplified a lot of what boxing is all about. Born in Hartford, Kentucky USA, Rob Calloway fought for no less than 20 years and through 91 professional fights. He frequented the light heavyweight, Cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions winning minor and regional belts in all three classes. He was in some decent fights and fought anyone ranging from the worst of tomato cans to some who at one point or another were world champions. These are the kinds of fighters I love. The workman of boxing who account for most of the sparring partners, last minute opponents and build up guys who helped make the better ones even better. Calloway retired in 2012 at age 42 with a closing record of 71-14-2-57 - a fine record to any honest boxing fan and one which warrants the nickname " The all American prize fighter. "
