ROB CALLOWAY WINS 12TH STRAIGHT: TKOS ROBLES IN 8TH
    by Matt Goldstein

Rob Calloway TKO8 Juan C. Robles... “The All American Prize Fighter” Rob Calloway, 69-7 with 55 KOs, defeated Juan Carlos Robles by technical knockout in the eighth round on Saturday Night in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Calloway has now won twelve straight fights, eleven by way of knockout. The former heavyweight journeyman is now ranked by all four major sanctioning bodies in the 200-pound weight class. Robles, undefeated coming into the bout, was flat out too green for the cagey Calloway. Robles is now 9-1 with 4 KOs. Calloway says he is willing to fight any cruiserweight but WBA beltholder Firat Arslan is at the top of his list. The cruiserweight division is stronger than its ever been, packed with talent and big names so Calloway should eventually find the opponent he is looking for.

Go Calloway! He is about the best regional fighter out there. Not a world class guy perhaps, but he gives his all in the ring and is always in shape.

    Calloway should fight Joe Mesi.
    Mesi needs a reality check.

It's funny how Ding hasn't been in the WBA ratings since the Nov/Dec '07 ratings when he was 15. Since then he lost to B.J. and was dropped out of the ratings and now he 's getting the WBA World title shot????

no, nO, NO, he really *couldn't* win a CW belt if he fought the right the guy. There is no right guy that holds a belt that wouldn't dominate Calloway.

Nice journeyman's career, but Calloway is that, a journeyman, and a solid step or two below world class level.
