‎Rob Mills speaks on why he is in love with the sport again, his Total Combat Title fight with Kyle Redfern on July 16th, his loss to Leigh Cohoon at BAMMA 5 and why he would love a rematch!

On his ambitions in the game:

"I'm now obsessed with getting myself back to being thought of as a top tier guy in the UK," asserted Mills. "Before this loss I'd have put myself in the top 15 and when you think how many guys are in the UFC from the domestic welterweight division that really would have made me top ten! Losing at BAMMA reignighted a fire under me I thought was dead. Total Combat will remind people why so many coaches wanted to avoid me. You don't stop fourteen fights inside the first round without doing some thing right and I intend on bringing the old me back! Hey, at 33 I'm still a lot younger than many of the top guys out there. The average age of the Fighters in the UFC is 30 now, so who knows what the future holds!

On his loss at BAMMA:

"It was devastating," remarked Rob. "It haunts me still several months on. I kind of knew that I wasn't as prepared as I usually am but didn't think Leigh would simply refuse to die like he did! When I landed my first decent shot in the opening round he staggered back towards the cage clutching his eye and I thought 'here we go again, few big shots and i can go home,' then there was some confusion by the ref who thought it was an eye poke and paused the fight and for lack of a better phrase my head went from then on!

"Leigh got more confident and I kind of fell apart! Leigh simply refused to die and caught me with a few good shots when I was trying to get a big head kick KO! Well done to him is all I can say, and it must have been a awesome experience winning a fight like that in front of his home crowd. It's the sort of memory you'll look back on when your a old man and I'm glad I was part of that with another fighter who I don't dislike."
