Rob's right; Haye should have accepted - he's becomng the heavyweight Mayweather, which is exactly what we didn't want.

i agree with rob. and ive also lost a lot of respect for bunce (not that he is bothered as im just an internet writer and not a 'genuine punter').

totally out of order playing the serious injury card when it had nothing to do with the argument.

i used to like haye alot but its just plain and simple what happened the moment he won the valuev match and counted his pennies - greed. he's realised the cashcow hes sitting on and wants to milk it some more, hence spending his time producing 'bookazines' and such. gone are the blogs and youtube videos of him talking, and now its just a wall of silence from the man himself because he knows he has also sold out.

    Wrong.

Klitscko has a deal with RTL which Hayes camp new he cannot break. They would of offered 90% to Wlad but the fight in germany goes to the highest bidder and they wouldnt have been able to accept.

And the difference between the amount of money offered by RTL and ARD would be a max of £1million. Haye said no to the fight because of £500k which is 5% if what he will be getting.

You can say Klitscko did the same but he is the lineal Heavyweight champion, and didn't make t shirts with Hayes decapitated head and call Haye out for a year.

Right now Haye is a joke fighter.

If thats the case, don't go calling someone out for a year and make t shirts with there decapitated heads, call them names and apporach them at charity events. Were talking about 5% of his purse stopping the fight.

Would love it if Wladamir Klitscko showed up at this charity football event on sunday and called David Haye out face to face like Haye did 2 years ago.

What happened to the "Bring Back Buncey" campaign Bunce organised for himself.

Not seeing Buncey's Boxing Hour back on the TV tells us all we need to know about what Sky think of him.

    The man is a ham.

If Bunce wasn't such have a clown there might be a boxing TV show in the UK.

I think he hurts boxing more than he benefits it, there has to be a better boxing presenter/journalist than Bunce out there. If there isn't the boxing media is suffering as much as a sport were fights between the best can't be made.

Sorry but your way off the mark here. That campaign was not organised by Bunce I know that for a fact and the man was genuinley touched by the support he got.

In general Bunce is spot on about his opinions. He has a good relationship with Hayes team so he needs to remain loyal to get exclusives. I understand that.

Bunce is still the best boxing braodcasting journalist out there.

I agree with the calling out thing to a certain extent, but being new to the division, he had to get himself noticed.

i think Haye does need to fight one of them, but only for the right price.

Well that's what i would do anyway. Boxing is business

its a shame really that if a fight with klit dont happen its what haye will be remembered for instead of all the positive things he's achieved

He's the only boxing broadcast journalist out there (in the UK anyway), how can he be the best when he has no competition? I've said it before and I'll say it again, a journalist should be without bias, Bunce is clearly not. The only difference between him and any of the "internet writers" is that he gets to give his opinion on tv and radio. He's a cheerleader with a microphone basically.

I agree. But last night he showed a lack of professionalism IMO. The conversation ha nothing to do with fighters getting seriously injured.

slightly off topic, but people worship bunce on here because they feel like he's the robin hood of boxing. but he identifies with haye because he is coming from the same angle as Haye - it's what puts his food on the table, not just his favourite sport.

do people really think bunce would be on ESB if he wasn't drumming up interest in his radio show or book? probably not in my opinion. bunce has to work hard to keep the money rolling in for him in this sport - he lost his setanta income lets not forget. i think often that compromises his ability to tell it how it is, but this is well known already.

either he is a fan like you or me on these boards, and is therefore given free rein on coming out with ludicrous inflamatory remarks about michael watson, or he is an industry professional who is a figurehead of the sport who shouldnt do that.

the other guy made a good point - if his tv show was that good then why isn't it getting at least a late night slot on another channel? the production costs would be slim-to-none.

i think an interesting discussion would be whether bunce really is good for boxing? is his enthusiasm good for bringing in new fans, or is his unprofessionalism a bad image to put on top of an already sidelined sport?

for the rest of your post your going completley over the top. you could lsit hundreds of things bunce has done for amateur boxing over the years and the pro game and he doesn't ram it down our throats.

Bunce can just be a tad hypocritical at times. he cant talk up Froch as being the greatest thing for taking tough fights and then excuse Haye for facing Audley for the cash.

On 5live last night he said its pointless Amir Khan fighting another dud, surley the same applys for Haye.
