He needs to do a show in London, where people like me have been following him and watching him fight live way before he won the the WBA heavyweight title. Although Adamaek is just about acceptable at this point as an opponent if the Klitschko fight can't be made. Harrison needs to beat somebody of that calibre before he challenges for any world title.
Just wait till the 'tards in the GF start saying how that's ducking out rather than just good business sense.
Thank **** for that, maybe Rob can get some sleep at night now.:good Its about time Booth came out and explained himself to the Internet. What sort of way is it to do business when you don't immediately post every developement on a boxing forum?
02 does fits 20,000. He still should of accepted the deal. Fair enough but how much more are ARD going to pay than RTL? $1million max of which haye gets $500,000. Thats about £300,000.
It sounds like Hayemaker made a very fair counter-offer that respected all parties involved, but K2 weren't interested. We often forget that boxing is these guys' way of making a living. Would you take blows to the head from a murderous puncher like Wlad knowing he's getting all the upside of the arrangements? It's a living and it's a business issue and boxing IS a business. That's a horrible reality for fans that believe in the warrior mentality, but when your career is likely to be over by 32-33, and the after effects may mean you need significant medical care in your later years, you don't want to take any chances with how much will be left in the kitty. I don't like it, but I accept it. Bunce has always said that fights only get made when they make cash common sense. And I don't think the cash differential was the issue here - it seems to have been the partnership issue. If Hayemaker aren't going with their preferred partner on their terms, then they see it as better to seperate the home territory money and split everything else. That seems pretty fair. Except that Wlad knows Haye will likely make a LOT more money and he wants some of the action.
Its just as easy to say that the Kilts turned down a 50/50 split of the largest revenue the fight could generate. If what Booth is saying is true its just as much their fault the fight isn't happening.:hey Either way, Booth has explained himself on the 50/50 and Audley Harrision so thats that (he said naievely)
Spot on :good Can't wait to see what they say in the General Flea, I think most people want Adamek if the Klits fights don't happen. Nice to know they are not really considering Audley, despite what Matchroom say.
My stance has always been there as bad as eachother and it remains that way. If they both truly wanted the fight they would conceed these things.
Adamek-Grant is August 21st, so if he comes through that injury/cut free could they do the Haye fight in 3 months? :think End of November that would be.
only in the British forum. In the general i am ragging on the Klitsckos. Its both guys faults. If Haye really wanted the fight he would give it up. I would be happy with Adameck.
