Adamek would be a great fight for Haye. It would go some way to convincing the disbelievers I feel, due to Adamek being overrated at heavyweight.

Adamek is a good fighter, especially at cruiser, but I don't think he holds the shots as well at heavyweight judging by his fight with Arreola. He was buzzed plenty of times which is no disgrace but you have to think with Haye's speed he could KO him.

I wonder what the figures were for Haye v Ruiz/ Surely they would be close to the 750000+ for Valuev. After all, its just Haye people paid to watch, right?

If Valuev was 6'3 and 250lbs Haye would probably stil be doing 2 for 1 offers on his fights now. How does unimpressively beating up a 7'2 lump elevate someone whose HW record reads Bonin, Barrett, Ruiz and Valuev (alledgeldy would blush at that lineup) to dictate terms to one of the most dominant champions in all of boxing

I cannot correctly express how badly I wanna see this guy walk on to Julian Jackon-esque right hand from a no-hoper. Let him see him talk himself out of that one

Terms are nothing to do with how dominant you are in boxing. You are thinking on a pretty naive level.

The fact is Klitschko has been dropped by HBO and is on free TV, whilst David Haye is on PPV and doing pretty well for himself. Hence why he can make certain demands.

No he can't, he can ask for ridiculous concessions but Klitschko is not stupid enough to agree to them. Haye's worth is dependant on who he fights, Klitschko's is not, so who's the draw?

They don't sound ridiculous to me, they sound like common sense.

But then again it depends what your agenda is and who you want to believe. I don't pay much credence to any of them and anybody that does is clearly biased because they are bound to speak up for their own interest.

As far as I can see Haye is allowed to negotiate tough just as the Klitcschko's do and have done throughout their careers.

Trading off the Klitschko's name and expecting to keep 100% of the ppv profits which are directly affected by who he fights, is ridiculous. How can anyone even try to justify Haye asking for more than 50-50? It's ludicrous no matter what side of the fence you stand on. Negotiations are all well and good, of course Haye should try to get as good a deal as possible but when he pulls **** like this it just makes it look like he doesn't want the fight at all.

That interpretation depends who you believe, or maybe want to believe. You don't truly know the details of what they were asking for unless you were involved yourself.

Also, I don't really understand your PPV point. Events sell PPV's certainly, but at the same time the common denominator is David Haye, he has sold PPV's in Britain in his last two fights. The marketing is just as important as the names involved, Ruiz and Valuev were not superstar names, neither is Klitschko, but it has an angle whereby they can sell it. They wouldn't be able to sell Klitschko against Chambers on Sky, but they could sell Haye against a mediocre name like Ruiz. That is the distinction you have overlooked.
