    I agree with this.

It's all about perception rather than reality when it comes to assessing PPV sales.

Nobody knows who Wlad is in the UK, it's as simple as that.

Vitali is only known for the Lewis fight, which was ages ago.

Haye did a million buys for Valuev, and probably a good amount for Ruiz - as far as the general public are concerned he's the champion.

I'm not even sure if Wladimir has ever been televised on non-pay TV here in the UK. Vitali, doubtful...I don't think the Lewis fight was or the Williams fight, which would be the two most likely ones.

Wheras Haye has, over several years of his career. And he's done media work here, because he's a relentless self-promoter!

The Klitschkos just have zero presence here apart from the hardcore boxing fans. I could take a picture of both guys and show them to a couple hundred people, and I'd be heartily surprised if more than a half-a-dozen people recognise them. If I did that with Haye, I reckon more like seventy or eighty.

Now if you do that in, say, Germany then I'd expect a massive amount of people to recognise them. But not here.

Wlad Sanders was on Skysports. The Sniper was amazing that night.

Hardly the ringing PR endorsement that'll sell the fight, huh?

Sanders then became THE most overrated Heavyweight of all time off the back of that win.

    Obviously

His handspeed was always tremendous but you're maybe right. The win deserved respect tho,did he not come out of retirement for that fight???

No, he'd fought just four months earlier.

He did have a 13-month period with no fights between Wladimir and Vitali though, during which he improved his golf handicap massively but did fierce damage to his waistline.

Technically, he should've lost any ranking points for the Wladimir win since it was well over a year before. The Ring chose to ignore that, but blah blah blah old story I know...

:good Cool. He did only have 3 rounds in two years before the Wlad fight. At 37/38,its notsurprising Wlad thought he could walk in and take him out.

WALDO - Ibragimov was also on Sky. Like I, most people have erased that fight from my memory so I don't blame anyone for not remembering much about it.

Must have been the mods who edited it due to copyright issues or something:think

Anyway, Booth says they wanted to see how much money other German TV stations would offer for the fight. The Klits however have a contract with RTL and said it HAD to be on RTL in Germany. The Klits also wanted a straight 50/50 split.

Booth then said if you want it on RTL in Germany then you can keep 100% of their money and we'll keep 100% of Sky PPV money. Everything else is 50/50. the Klits said no, we want a straight 50/50 including Sky money. They couldn't agree and fights off.

Booth also said that they're not seriously considering Audley as an opponent. They would like Adamek next, possibly at the MEN.

Ah okay thanks :good. Man I wish they'd pick another arena other than the MEN. Never any big fights down in London recently.
