Way back in 2010 when I first joined the forum I made a post on the 13-0 Helenius and how he looked to be the heir to the K2 thrones.

Well, after a wreckless managerial decision to allow him to fight Derek Chisora with a torn rotator and a gift decision and 2 broken metacarpals later, he was downgraded to a non-puncher with a leaky defense and no equalizer to keep iron jaws honest.

Now, 2+ yrs after Promotional disputes, contract lawsuits, etc etc etc, it appears he's on the comeback trail.

Once ranked clearly in the top 5, now he sits at or near the bottom of most ppls top 30.

Can he redeem himself by fighting Euro level journeyman, or does he NEED to make a fight vs a fellow top 30 to prove he's still a top 5 HW.:thumbsup:think

He is done. Too much lack of focus. I mean, he can still be a gatekeeper sort, but he will not be near the top of the heap.

I don't think he can win a title either, but he'll be a legit contender.

    He's back? Since when?

Don't tell me his last fight where he knocked out a non ranking super middle weight was a comeback.

He just went in there , threw a punch and went home again.

He could have been back in the ring the following week , but its months later and there is no word out of him.

He's ****, always thought so, I never saw any kind of potential in him as a HW king or anything like that.

    you mean claim, not heir.

He is dangerous enough that Gypsy would make a long way around him

If he can get back on track then he will be an interesting addition to the HW scene. Not sure if he is good enough at elite level, but, he is far from a bum as some people are saying.

With Fury and Wilder now in the mix and the re-emergence of Povetkin, the HW scene is starting to peak peoples interest's somewhat.

If Haye can come back and Anthony Joshua lives up to the hype then there will be some good fights to be made.

his fight against Tank Williams laid those limitations for all the world to see. I'm still dismayed with how he was rattled in that fight.
