Are there any fights with open scoring where an unjustifiable robbery similar to last night's Herrera fight unfolds throughout the fight. Where the fans and the fighter knew that he's getting jobbed?

Not a robbery per se but Canelo Vs Trout?

I think that's been the closest

Interesting question. Are you suggesting open scoring keeps the judges honest?
What I do noticed is matches in Japan has more open scoring than those in US or Europe.

Not suggesting anything, I haven't seen nearly enough open scoring matches to know if it makes a difference or not. I just can't remember ever seeing it happen.

TBH i doubt it would make a difference. It doesn't stop it in the (much more strictly regulated) amateurs at all.

Japan have them for ALL WBC, JBC and OPBF title bouts

Thailand have them for ALL WBC world title bouts (not sure on WBC regional titles)

I didnt like Trout forcing a KO while Alvarez was taking his foot of the gas.

On the other hand, Canelo probably knew the judges were in his pocket no matter what. They didn't need the scores announcing for him to know he was getting that W, unless he got stopped somehow

Open scoring work very good over here. Sometime it change fight for better sometime for worse. Amagasa recently use open scoring to make him get KO.
