Robberies you didn't score as robberies?

Even though SRL said he lost the fight. I didn't think Hearns-Leonard 2 was such a robbery.

 

Chavez v Whitaker - Thought a draw was fair. As with many Pea fights, he spent a lot of time not actually fighting.
Bugner v Cooper - Slow and boring, but I thought Bugner edged it. Not the robbery Sir Enry always moaned about.
Holmes v Spinks I - Spinks won fair and square IMO.
Spinks v Eddie Davis - Very close, but I gave it to Spinks.

 

115-114 for Toney over Tiberi

6-5 for Patterson in the first Quarry fight (so I was OK with the draw)

115-115 Draw in the first Ramirez-Whitaker fight

116-114 for ODLH over Sturm

116-114 Holmes over Witherspoon

73.5 - 73.5 Draw in Cooper v Bugner (Harry Gibb had it a 1/4 point more for Bugner - that close, which is one round, I'm OK with)

Mosley-DLH II.

It's been a long time since I've seen it but the last time I watched it I had Mosley 7-5. I want to stress that the only times I watched it were the day of and the day after the fight, so it's more than a little blurry now. Like most, I went along with the HBO narrative that DLH was jobbed as it aired. However I taped the bout and rewatched it the day after since so many were in a tiff. One thing that struck me then is that the HBO commentators exaggerated DLH's work and downplayed Mosley's, when "Sugar" Shane clearly landed the harder punches. The first was a good example, where DLH boxed smartly but Mosley almost nullified the jab and nearly took DLH's head off with a left hook.

It was also interesting that they took a poll of ringside observers and most of them had Mosley edging it, which was one of my inspirations for replaying it. I think the HBO crew got caught up in their own account of things.

 

Agree with this. Night of the fight, I had Tito edging it due to the last four rounds. A lot of the early rounds were close and the action tense but uneventful. Watched it again and had it 114-114. Revisited it recently and felt good with my 114-114 draw but something like 115-114 is just as reasonable as 115-113 Oscar IMO. Tito clearly won rounds 4 & 9-12. The first two were thisclose as well.

Top Rank propaganda worked well to act like it’s a “robbery” and the narrative of a “robbery” is still being pushed to this day. It was a very close, uneventful fight.

 

I think you are clearly wrong on both Kovalev won the first clearly & Ward should have been DQ'd in the rematch plus ref Tony Weekes needed suspending . That wads BLATANT!!!!

 

I always agreed with Spinks-Holmes 1 and had it 145-141 Spinks

As far as Spinks-Davis...it was my first days of scoring fights and I was barely 11. I had Davis 119-109 lol

Now I have Spinks 117-111

I thought the Chavez Whitaker draw was reasonable given the scoring system. I believe I scored it by one point for Pea but saw the draw as reasonable. Whitaker certainly won his rounds more emphatically, and if there was a more nuanced scoring system that didn't require KD's for 10-8 or 10-7 rounds, he would have won by a considerable margin. But that's not how the 10 point must system has been used.

 

I think Briggs / Foreman was a lot closer than most people think. I shaded it to Foreman but Briggs winning is not the worst decision I ever saw.
