Should be void if they take a rematch. I really respect a boxer who wins in contravercy then gives the other boxer a rematch. Give Floyd props for going after Castillo again. Castillo was the only guy close to beating him and he avenge that contravercy. Bute was out on his feet. He will probaby have the Ref and Judges on his side. But at least gives Andrade another shot to finish the job this time. Props to Bute for taking the fight even though he was out on his feet the last time. If he wins without contravercy I'll accept the first fight. Some other situation Barrera-juarez Barrera had an off night. juarez look a litte good and fans where bitching that he won. Barrera came to school Juarez next time Peter-toney toney was one of my fav. I tought Toney won the first fight. But I have to say Peter did good on the rematch. i guess I'll accept the first fight.
Unlike that motherfroch that got away with robbery and doesn't seem to mind. I really can't stand that guy. I don't like his attitude.
Yeah it's good with immediate rematches, and all the great fighters should try and test themselves instead of protecting their record... unfortunately the rematch between Froch and Dirrell will probably not happen, and Froch won't leave his backyard for that one
No one (at least I'm not) is trying to argue that Sturm didn't win. Either way, two wrongs make a right? (Sturm got screwed so it's okay for it to happen to someone else). Either way, I thought Dirrell won. I hope Kessler eats Froch up but I haven't seen Kessler fight since Calzaghe. Does anyone know how he has looked recently?
I called bull**** after that decision was announced, as did others. Hell, even the flag-waving, Oscar-fellatio-giving Jim Lampley said he thought Sturm won.
Like a real champion, Joe Louis gave Jersey Joe Walcott a rematch right away and won. Paulie Ayala gave Bones Adams an immediate rematch and won a clear decision the 2nd time around. Roy Jones, who legitimately beat Antonio Tarver in the first fight, gave him a rematch. It turned out to not be good for his career.
I complained and I'm a big Del la Hoya fan! Even Del la Hoya was ashamed of it unlike that piece of **** Froch!
The Froch fight was close, Sturm wasnt that close and in all fairness, its hardly Frochs fault, all 3 judges and the ref were foreign, none were English or British, people on ehere say its a home town desicion but its not like when British fighters have to fight in the USA against americans with american judgs and american refs....hes hardly gonna say ''wow, judges you got that wrong, please rescore it'' there really is no other way to stop this from happening, it was 3 peoples opinions, and 2 went to Froch.....in my opinion no fight that takes place should have a ref or judge from the same nation, this happens in the USA all the time.
Fighters are proud people. And most can't live with having a taint on their name - so they want to set the record straight - and thinking they will learn from the mistakes - not realizing the other will do the same. But it's all good. I just wish Bute soon would grow some more hairy balls tbh.
So, in your eyes, if a shady decision occurs, then it's ok for a payback? Things like this are what's wrong with Boxing. And Froch is a theft IMO. He may not have robbed Dirrell, but his reaction & comments after showed he's absolutely cool with getting away with it. He got taken to school by a guy with 19 fights. Atleast Oscar hung his head & barely raised his arms when Sturm was robbed. Froch really acted like he actually won that ****. Dirrell made me more of a fan of his now.
I agree! THis guy is the undisputed chumpion on my **** list. It was sickening to hear this act like he won, I dont expect a guy to say he should have lost. But at least keep your mouth shut and be humble.
dirrell did NOTHING but ****ing run backwards the whole night...if thats h0ow you win fights in 2009, then i guess he should be champ
