1st of all, Robinson was all class in defeat; hoisting Solomon up on his shoulders and congratulating the fellow prospect after having his own cherry popped. How can you hate on the kid? What, because his parents gave him a certain name when he was born, and he happened to also take up boxing? Real mature.

As for Arnaoutis-Coleman, your loss. It started slow and ugly but progressed into a pretty entertaining melee. Ignorantly calling them bums doesn't exactly cast you in the light of a real boxing fan, not one of very high quality anyhow. Nobody's putting them on p4p lists; they're second-tier guys, fringe contenders, and this was a battle to inch beyond the fringe. If that type of thing doesn't interest you, and you only want to watch guys with household names, that's your prerogative...but you don't fit the definition of a true fan of the sport. There's a word for people like you. Rhymes with "Schmasual". :good

Take that with salt, pepper, whatever helps it go down. :deal

Like I said you don't know me. Yea ok so I missed this fight big whoop. Did you stay up until 1 AM getting a feed for the Kameda-Naito? Did you watch the Sam Soliman-Les Piper fight? Do you keep your scorecards of every fight you watch? Every friday do you watch Friday Fight Nights, the UK version of FNF here in the States? May'be you do, may'be you don't, but I don't really care because I'm not going to judge you and say you are a real Boxing fan or not. Yes, there are bandwagon Boxing fans that just watch the "big" fights, I'm not one of them. Whether you believe me or not I could really careless.

The Mighty Mike fight was pretty good, especially the final 2 rounds...

Arnoutis won the fight! He was badly robbed! Even the commentators were shocked!

Well you certainly give off that impression when you spout disrespectful BS like calling a couple of hardworking in-shape fringe contenders "bums" and intentionally missing their readily available televised match, and then going out of your way to announce it. There really was no call for that. Just be mindful of what you say, it has an impact on how you are perceived.

He did show class and I applaued him for it. Again, you are jumping to conclusions and you act like you know me. Of course it;s not because of his name, it's because he was very cocky coming into his fight and I just don't like fighters like that. Just like Mayweather, I'm not a Mayweather fan, but I respect his skills. Robinson was cocky coming in, but he showed nice class. Again, quit jumping to conclusions and stop acting like you know me. Very sad coming from somebody like you.

What about my other contributions to this forum since I have been here? I gave out my share of updates when I was there at FNF updates. Also, I given updates about telemundo fights. Every fight that has been on telemundo I have seen this year. I also waited for updates of different PPVs like the Judah/Casamayor PPV, the Camacho-Campas fights, etc.. Like I said in my post above as well as this one. If that's not being a Boxing fan, then I really don't know what is then.

My point is really simple: regardless of how dedicated to the sport you are, you can avoid casting yourself in an unflattering light by not making unnecessarily crass statements like dismissing a couple of professional fighters (contender-level fighters, too) as "bums" that are somehow not worth your viewing time. It's that kind of sickening statement that can rob someone of all their hard-earned credibility.

Yeah, what's with these people?? ****, if it's boxing, I'll watch it. Some of the best fights occur at the ESPN/Versus level.

Exactly, and they don't tend to let down as much because the expectations aren't as high.

Mighty Mike vs Tim Coleman was a decent scrap, worth watching for sure.

I missed the first 4 rounds watching Oregon State v Oregon (I live in Oregon, had to watch) but watched the last 8 rounds during halftime... recorded the rest of the card and watched it after the game.

Mike got jobbed, and again I don't get why.. Coleman isn't really going anywhere great.. so handing him the win doesn't do much.

This is a situation that smacks more of incompetence than corruption. I can kind of see how an inexperienced judge or one who doesn't get the nuances of boxing might be wowed by Coleman's sprinkling of moments in the later rounds that were flashier than the solid and consistent work Arnaoutis did throughout the second half.

Either way, it stinks - for the sport, for the guy deprived of a rightful win, and even for the official winner since he'll forever carry a tainted asterisk victory (if only in the fans' eyes).
