I'm pretty surprised that such an inspired performance by two great competitors doesn't get more respect than this. We are still judging fights along racial lines here?!? Danny was ****ing awesome, can't wait to watch him again! GGG won that fight. Suck it up. He's a very, very tough man. What a wonderful night of boxing. **** this forum.
Exactly and that's why it was close.... I don't know any #1 fighting #2 and one guy getting dominated.
Exactly my point... but you gotta love the drama. Makes their rematch or future fights even more interesting.
Just the same clowns trolling again. Probably more that I have thrown on my ignore over the years. Too much time blindly hating and not enough time taking enjoyment out of an excellent event by 2 highly skilled and respected fighters.
GGG won hands down, but Jacobs put up a great fight. Same as Broner vs Granados, every one wanted Broner to lose but he did beat Granados in a close fight.
GGG couldn't win tonight with some GGG by KO= Danny a glass jaw bum GGG by decision= he couldn't even KO him Jacobs by UD= exposed bum
ya it amazes me, he was the aggressor, the jab couldn't miss and most of jacobs punches weren't landing the boxnation commentary was a joke barry jones gave every round you could imagine to jacobs even when he did pretty much nothing and ate jabs, when i was seeing this level of delusion i knew everyone was scoring the fight to jacobs just for still be awake. he never once mentioned ggg's jab that couldn't miss i wonder what hbo commentary was like
completely agree man, the boxnation commentators seemed to be watching a different fight to the one i was watching, golovkin was peppering jacobs with jabs all night, landed the harder shots, got the knockdown, he did enough to keep his belts...
That's basically the root of it. He didn't lose the fight, so the narrative has to be tailored to make damn sure he'll lose the event. The person most unfairly shortchanged in this is, oddly enough, Jacobs. Those same people are tearing down Jacobs because it makes GGG look worse in their minds. Nevermind that he boxed the best he's ever boxed and deserves genuine credit for it- it looks like he was only useful as a tool to trash GGG's rep, and Jacobs' actual rep is just collateral damage.
For sure, huge respect for Danny Jacobs, not seen the fight but if Jacobs did enough I truly feel for him as the fans need to know the judges are gonna be fair in these big events
