Robbery or not, did you think it was a good fight?

Hell yes. Will happily buy the rematch.

 

Not every fight is going to be Gatti vs Ward but Hook & Hold & repeat from Ward is simply ugly.

 

Loved the fight. Felt as though I witnessed a truly historic performance by Ward.

 

it was a very good fight that could have been great if less holdng - ref was missing all night.

 

It was a great fight! It was evenly matched and a lot of skill was displayed by both fighters. When you have 2 p4p undefeated fighters in their prime battling for greatness you get these close and competitive fights! Next week we have another fight with major implications written on it.

 

It was ok but wouldn't call it a classic. Was cool to seeing 2 P4P fighters battle it out though.

 

it was great to watch and enjoyable simply because i expected ward to negate and make kova look silly or for kova to absolutely demolish ward... in 12 rounds we got a taste of both lol

 

Decent fight very tactical chess game! Ward won for me but by a razor thin margin.

 

How many of the judges actually gave him the 10th though....that's the question...very telling for me. Strongly suggests a fix was in.

I liked the fight. It was kind of what I expected to see- especially if Ward were to have any hope of winning. He did not let me down. I also liked how Kovalev seemed prepared for the charging, was guarding his face from head butts and leaning on Ward to try to tire him out. Didn't work out. I think the main reason Kovalev lost was due to his corner not telling him to step it up another notch. I think Kovalev felt he was comfortably ahead on the cards. I had no issue with the outcome. I thought it could have gone either way. I was really happy this fight went through and I'd pay for a rematch. I think next time out we're going to see Kovalev try harder for a knockout.
