Robbery or not?

Do people genuinely believe that Pascal v Hopkins decision was a robbery? Ive been reading around a few forums this morning which cry that Hopkins was in control he was robbed. Its very easy for anyone to cry robbery now a days simply because a fighter who was marginaly better than the oppoenent should have won.

Pascal won the first 5 rounds, in them rounds he scored two knockdowns, it dont matter how unlegit they were, the ref counted its a knockdown and Hopkins didnt do enough in either of them to get it back to 10-9.

From there on yes Hopkins controlled it, but he didnt put Pascal down and Pascal still did enough in each round for him to be worthy of a 10-9.

If it was a robbery than you would assume that Hopkins won the fight by more than 2 rounds. A draw was a fair reflection of the title fight. Saying that Pascal had an awful work rate again and just switched off from round 5. It could have gone either way but robbery? No.

Yes it was a robbery. Just watched the fitst knockdown it was definately on the back of the head. Pascal isn't much of a boxer he's an unorthodox brawler.

I am ashamed to be from Québec on this day. Its use to be that we saw our boxers get robbed in the us and in germany. That at least allowed me to feel good and righteous about our boxers.

Now since we can draw huge crowds and our fighters fight home, its is definitely proven that we play the corruption and cheat game with the best of them. (Not a suprise when you look at our political leaders but thats something else )

Pascal was a chump champ in there. He had no cardio, no grit no game plan and no brains in there. Hopkins was the aggressor, the busier man and the most effective puncher from round 5 and on. Pascal tired himself out all alone running like a chicken and throwing wild punches at a man who was not even near is striking zone. Worst of it is he was the one creating the distance between the two men.

Huge and shameful robbery, Hopkins should have a belt.

Both KDs were undoubtedly legit. Pascal is very limited but he's much, much younger that BH and he's a justified world champion. Even with his obvious flaws, on paper Pascal should have won with room to spare....he didn't.

You have to admire what Hopkins still achieves but unfortunately I am convinced that the result reflects poorly on the current pool of 'talent' in boxing rather that the superhuman abilities of the old warrior.

the kd's where legit. both flash and not helped by hopkins thinking he was inside , to whcih pascal sidestepped and released his shots. BUT....even with 2 knockdowns i didnt think i could have it any other way 114-112 to hopkins...1,2,3, to pascal, 5 points up by then, loses his composure and hopkins dominated, pascal had a late burst but was finished being competetivly after round 8.

remarkably similar to pacuqaio-jmm. apart form the early knockdowns the other fighter dominated

Even if you include both of the knockdowns, B-Hop was still winning. From round 4 onwards, the fight was his. I feel sorry for the old man. The chance to make history was snatched from him.
