I decided to watch Haney v Prograis over this, big mistake.Just watched it and full credit to both fighters for providing great entertainment.Scored it 115 - 111 to Espinoza but had a feeling he was going to be robbed, thankfully it didn`t happen. As others have stated previosly a big shout out to the ref for not panicking and stopping the fight after the first knock down. I can think of a few refs who would have done exactly that

A MD is way too close to me. It was a very clear victory for Espinosa.

I agree. It's one of the fights where you just can't win if you don't throw punches. Ramirez had an abysmal punch output.

Last night had me questioning his heart a little bit. He'd fought his way back into the fight, but Ramirez just took it back from him by dominating late while Robeisy wilted. He essentially took a knee in that last round to get Ramirez off of him; you can't do that in the last minute of a close fight.

I still think that Robeisy is a special fighter, but now his aura is shattered and may never return. I thought that he could possibly upset Inoue, but now I am not as confident.

I only caught the HL and it basically consisted of the KD in round 1 for Robsy and the one in round 12 for Espinoza with nothing in between

Robsy is very talented. He has A level elite skills, big power in both hands, and I'd never heard of nor seen Espinoza before so Robsy losing came as a big surprise to me.

I thought he posed the greatest threat to Inoue out of all the champs at 126 but he might be out of the equation now and even if not Inoue will rightfully start an even bigger favoutite against him. I had him beating him before last night but I still thought highly of Robsy

The poblem with Ramirez is he starts too slowly and doesn`t throw enough punches, though those he does are usually meaningful.Btw Robsy`s kd was not in the first round i think it was in the 5th but could be wrong as i have been drinking

It was at the end of fifth (you could argue Espinoza got saved by the bell as he looked really wobbled) & once he got back in the fight with that KD, he then spent a lot of time looking for that 1 big shot KO instead of working like Espinoza was doing. Not much body punching which would have helped considering how tall Espinoza is

Yeah, you're right. It was like 7am when I watched the HLs and I'd obviously been up all night watching the other card and other fights on that one by the time I caught them

They jump from round 1 to round 5 quickly at the start of the video and I didn't even notice they'd done so

Yeah, that was a great shot and Espinoza was in big trouble. I already knew he won before watching the HLs but it looked like it was over for him at that point.

What a fight and a contender for FOTY. Both guys showed will and determination. Espinoza really impressed me with his high volume, toughness and resilience. Was surprised to see Espinoza get up from the knockdown. Really thought Ramirez would stop him but couldn't sustain. Tough loss for Ramirez but he'll be back.

Can't wait to see more of Espinoza. I think a rematch is warranted.

According to some reports, he was also fighting with and injured foot(damaged in the second round). I can't remember the last time I wanted something as bad as Espinoza wanted that win.
