That being said, i thought the fight was closer.
I was there live so i have to rewatch it on TV.

From my seat, i thought Dawson landed the cleaner shots.
Guess Pascal won on pure activity (haven't seen the numbers) but most of his shots were wide, catching gloves or air (and people running crazy every time he was throwing).

Why the fight was stop with less than 2 rounds to go, as we all seen fighters go on with much worst cut...i don't know.

Still, props to Pascal as he seemed to want it more.

Go and watch the fight and ignore the compubox numbers, its amazing then how it doesn't affect your judgement.

 

He clearly won the majority of the rounds, with combinations, hard hooks and straights, hurting Dawson on many occasions. Most people had it 7 rounds to 3 when the 11th started where Dawson had Pascal in trouble and landed a lot of punches. Only he didn't really go for the kill. Then some time later in the round he had Pascal in trouble again but again didn't follow trough.
The headbutt came when Dawson came forward for another attack clashing his head into Pascal wich opened a big cut above his eye... fight stopped, Pascal already celebrating because everybody knew he would certainly get the nod and he did. :deal

 

Caus he landed THE MORE MEANINGFUL BLOWS almost the whole fight...He hurt Dawson seriously at least 2 times and buzzed him a couple more...Beside of the 11 round Dawson did'nt do **** except popping a shy tentative jab and a few sporadic lefts...You should learn how to score a fight...X2:-(

You could be ahead on compubox because you dominated for the first four rounds - you could then lose the next 8 rounds against an opponent who boxes cautiously.

You'd lose the fight but have better compubox numbers. It aint hard

Get over it, Dawson should've tooled Pascal BUT he fought scared and got out hustled all night long, by the way Pascal had Dawson shook-up more than once. No robbery here, the hungrier man won.

 

Dawson, hurt Pascal MORE times and when he threw landed the better blows. i had the fight a draw , but Dawson was off tonight, he said he shoulder was messed up because that didn't looked like Chad Dawson last night. He will win the rematch though.

 

the majority of the shots Dawson landed were jabs which made his connect higher. I was rooting for Dawson and thought he would win. Dawson is one of my favorite fighters, but I had Pascal clearly winning that fight. It was very frustrating watching that because there were so many opportunities for Dawson to unload on Pascal but he just didnt do it. Everytime he did do it he either had Pascal hurt or on the backpedal. I honestly think he highly underestimated Pascal as did I. Pascal fought a smart fight and stuck to the gameplan.
