Oscar let him go because many around him felt that he lacked the experience to be in the corner against some of the better names. The Golden Boy fires people if he is not happy with them as he usually blames others for his shortcomings. Lets not forget he fired "The Professor" because people said his style was too defensive and afterwards tried hiring him back. He let go of Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Roach as well under weird circumstances sometime not even telling them personally they were fired.

In my opinion Alcazar is a much better trainer now than he was when he was with Oscar and he should become a more popular trainer after Vargas wins his first title.

 

he never let go of Mayweather. He did let go of the rest though He should have NEVER let go of Alcazar and I think blamed him for the Tito and Mosley losses. Alcazar did tell him to lay off tito and box, which cost oscar that fight, and Oscar had the dumbest gameplan vs. Mosley 1, which Alcazar should've had him ad******g during that fight. Oscar just kept doing the same thing.
