Robert Byrd to referee Ward-Kovalev

Like I commented in the Preview & Prediction thread...

Trowbridge is a bit of an issue, but the rest I can certainly live with.

 

What a suprise, 4 Americans who are on the take.

 

Caiz Sr is even worse. He actually warns Ward's opponents for trying to get out of Ward's clinches. (watch Ward vs Green if you can stomach it)

 

Robert Byrd doesn't tolerate excessive clinching and holding. Thats not to say Ward is a serial holder cos he ins't.

Ive probably seen that fight more times than you. You're probably another guy who just watched the highlight video on utube where the creator edited it to make it look like it was a straight up clinch fest. Ward took Kessler apart on the inside. Old school.

 

There's a myth Ward won by head butting Kessler to death. You won't count more than two butts in the fight.

 

I'll be honest here,I can't watch it,clinching is one thing but how deliberate head butting is called ring craft is beyond me,the way Ward holds his head to the ref is so staged,he'd of been a great st fighter.

 

Then I guess you can't watch Marvin Hagler either. Maybe you should stick to golf.
