IBF lightweight title fight between ; Robert Easter - 5' 11", 25 Yo, 17-0-0 w/14 KO (82%), 76" reach Has won last 6 fights, 5 by TKO Richard Commey - 5' 9", 29 Yo, 22-0-0 w/22 KO (92%), 70" reach Has won last 6 fights, 5 by TKO This is the kind of fight I like, between two equally talented opponents with good skills, KO power and fighter's heart. Although Commey has the edge in experience, I favor Easter who is younger, has a significant reach advantage and has a very good jab.
For the life of me I have no idea how Easter makes 135. The man is a giant at 135. He would have good reach all the way to CW FFS.
The boy is a giant and can probably move up at least 5 divisions. His frame looks like it can handle 160 well, in the future. Commey is no bum with opponents filled with Africans. Commey has fought around the world, has solid experience and a 92% KO ratio. Ring presently has Commey ranked #7 and Easter #9. I think either one of them are capable of defeating #3 Crolla.
I like what I've seen of commey, he's intense in there. Throws a lot of leather and carries big power. I think he can pull this off
Easter was saying this was gunna be a walk in the park, if he thinks like that he loses. If he's smart and uses his reach he can box commey to a UD, but I notice the kid like barthelemy neglects his reach and stays in the pocket which isn't a good thing against someone who can bang back. Easter reminds of Paul Williams in terms of dimension a real giant at the weight
Easter likes to fight close for 5'11". He has that Paul Williams inside spirit. Now let's hope he don't have that chin that Williams had against Maravilla.
Commey can bang, and he seems to have more power than Martinez. I think Robert will keep this fight on the outside using the jab and straight right.
