    Some interesting observations from Edgren.

    He claims that up and coming fighters aped the champions of the day, which is certainly plausible.

    He further points out that Corbett lost the title to Fitzsimmons, who was a fighter of the Folley Mace school of boxing, and suggests that this took the orthodoxy back to their way of thinking.
