Sánchez appears to be a bit of a well-liked curiosity domestically, in spite of being an import. They found him as soft a touch as they could to begin his comeback.

Gigo couldn't be any more made-to-order to look good against. WILD two-pieces from far away, wet spaghetti jab followed by a slow windmill overhand right. Counter-puncher heaven.

The only disappointment here for Sánchez would be letting the guy survive a full 6 rounds without so much as dropping him. Only twelve stoppages among his 63 defeats but he does get knocked down a lot in the decisions (mostly 4-rounders).

 

...howzabout either versus Datsik?

 

My expectations for this undercard were very low...and yet they have not been lived up to.

 

Gotta give Gigo this - his head is getting yo-yoed around the ring practically every other second...but he keeps on truckin'. No retreat, no surrender - just applying steadfast and horribly ineffective pressure and getting his ass whooped, unbothered.
