Robert Garcia has done a pretty good job with Maidana.

I noticed that too....he was working a lot on technique and working off the jab....I even saw angles from Marcos! It wasn't fluid.....but he was working it.

He did struggle a bit with the style......but that is probably becuase Marcos is use to being the aggressor.

robert garcia is a decent trainer look at his last fight as ortiz's trainer and look at ortiz now. ortiz used to move his head a lot and select his shots and wasn't as stiff.

    he's regressed so much since.

I think it will help him improve if he chooses to learn from it and if he still has the ability to do so.

    Agreed.

Just goes to show that you don't have to be on 'Team Slick Black' to gain benefit from using basic boxing techniques (angles, jab to set up shots, slipping punches, etc.)

He has. I don't think it is enough to make Maidana elite. He is good, even very good at certain times. Just not elite.
