I want to say that i was really quite a fan of the guy and thought he was the victim of poor management and i was suckered into his back story with his wifes illness and so but last night has shown hes not worthy of being a 2 weight world champion. Yes he was fighting at 140 but against who? An old Joel casamayor whos spent his whole career at 130 and 135 and has only fought once against a bum at 140 it should have been competitive for perhaps 1 or 2 rounds but casa was really outhustling him at times and he was dropped by a Jab and he looked out of it after get hit by a hard right jab, i think he should campaign at 130-135 at 140 all the good fighters will KO him Khan would blitz him and i dont even like the guy

Hes moving up the weight divisions fast and is fairly young for a veteran fighter like Casamayor. I dont think his speed carried up fully but he still has power, if he lands. He would probably look better agaisnt Katsidis or Soto imo.

It is rarely a good idea to move up in weight. There is no more glory to be had with multiple championships. Everyone knows they mean nothing. A fighter who remains at one weight builds his name recognition more than a fighter who fights in a variety of divisions, especially with champions. The more name recognition the more money.

How many fighters have looked good against Casamayor?

Honestly, I thought Guerrero carried Joel, and probably could have got him out of there if he wanted. I'm grateful he didn't.

Shyeah, well my mom said you were really disappointing last night! ...Wait...that came out wrong, and backwards, and consequently insulted me in a way. ...****.

Guerrero has always been a very inconsistent fighter. It goes with his pedigree though, because like robpalmer135 said, he never was and never will be elite. He's good, but he'll never be great.

Casa is Guerrero's long time freind and mentor. I got the impression that Robert did not want to beat the hell out of an old freind.

The guy is just not that good. He is boring to watch. he has a good defense, but he just does not have the fire to excite the public. I have seen him fight several times, but I don't see him as becoming a top fighter.

Marquez should fight him. Considering all the hype the media has given him, and all the hype that he is a young up and coming future champ, it would be a smart move for Marquez to fight. He is a natural featherweight like Marquez and it would be a definite smart move on Marquez.

Obviously , Marquez would defeat him and he would get a lot of credit for doing so.

I know the story is true but If he didn't want to hurt him he shouldn't have taken the fight. We don't pay to watch him play pitty pat with his buddy he doesn't want to hurt.

Why was he disappointing? He was murdering him until casamayor blatantly headbutted him. It was an easy fight, he was up and didnt want to take any unecessary fouls from the dirtyest fighter today. Whats wrong with coasting while your way ahead? Some of you posters have no idea about being a fighter. Hes gotta think about his longevity in the sport, FOOL!

Nope.....He coasted after casa headbutted him on purpose. No need to take unecessary punishment!

he didnt want to beat up his mentor...they must have hugged 10 times after the fight...i wont judge based on this fight because it was obvious he was fighting a friend and didn't want to be violent.
