Robert Guerrero: A Tribute To The Ghost Of Gilroy-Absolutely No Baby Nuts Allowed.

I'm not even a Guerrero fan but anyone who thinks this guys career started when he fought Mayweather, and is basing his entire career off that one fight, knows absolutely nothing about boxing. I do wish he would have fought Khan when that fight was on the table, but Guerrero is definately a warrior deserving of praise.

 

A guy who has won titles in 4 weight division has right to call himself a throwback. Ok he lost to Mayweather, so has 47 other opponents of Mayweather. In fact Guerrero who is smaller than Canelo fought better and won more rounds against Mayweather than Canelo. Then how do you forget the way the bullied and pinned Berto on the robes.

The dude might be the most skilled fighter in the world but he is very crafty and knows how to win fights.

Speaking of Thurman, he looked like ****t his last fight and needs to learn how to fight on the back foot.

Thurman looked like sh*t? He didn't lose a single second of that fight. Wtf are you talking about?

Guerrero beat Berto... big deal. So did Soto Karass... am I to believe he is a great fighter that deserves a crack at Mayweather as well?

 

He also got hurt by feather-fisted Bundu and pretty much ran all night from Bundu's power. It was a ****ing ridiculous fight.

 

I do like the stretch of his career including the Honorio KO, Litzau and Klassen fights, going abroad to win back his vacant title against Abazi... I'm guessing most people don't know about those fighters or haven't seen those fights.

I think the Berto fight is HIGHLY underrated from an entertainment standpoint.

And as for Kamegai, well, Kamegai didn't exactly look like he sucked himself and Guerrero went to war with him and still won in one of the best fights of the year.

He has entered the top 10 or top 5 in I believe 4 divisions now? Pretty darn impressive.

 

Him and Thurman saved that broadcast after the first ****show. Ghost has ***** of steel, the heart of a lion and a granite chin.

 

Molina/Broner sucked, good fight by Thurman/Ghost.

 

Guerrero is warrior. Most fighter would have gotten knocked out after that knockdown but not Robert. Dude got iron *****.

 

Ehh... he showed heart, but Thurman did what was expected.

 

Guerrero have some Japanese warrior in him. He tough and brave. Shame he fight wrong fight. If he fight Thurman like he fight Yoshihiro he make tonight more interesting. Thurman not like being crowded.

 

Not really .. Thurman himself said that he thought Guerrero would put more pressure on him. I don't Robert expected Thurman to box and move the way he did.. I truly believe the plan was to keep the fight close with counter shots and then press on the gas after round 6. Thurman even surprised me tonight with his boxing and footwork.
