He's got good speed with power. High punch output with southpaw stance and throws hooks, uppercuts and good counter-puncher with angles. Weakness is no head movement and decent jab but I like his approach.

Guerrero vs Maidana: Guerrero will be put on the map at 140 and look good defeating Maidana with speed and counter punching. Maidana a bit too slow and relying on a big right hand for the knockout will lose a decision.

Guerrero vs Bradley: This could be a very ugly fight. Both fighters are aggressive and like to come forward. Head-butt marathon but with that aside I can see Guerrero also taking this one. He's got the speed and power edge over Bradley plus those quick uppercuts or right-hook counter for when Bradley lunges in.

Guerrero vs Khan: Khan will be able to use his movement and jab to keep Guerrero at bay. I think you gotta make it an ugly fight and push Khan back to beat him which I don't see Guerrero able to do

Post whatever other match-ups at 140 you may find relevant for Guerrero and how does he do?

I think RG is right up there with any of the best at 140.
Id pick him over Morrales, Maidana, due to age and Maidanas lack of technique 50-50 with Bradley Im not sold on Timbo and RG handled Katsides well. and id only make him a slight under dog against Khan.
Technically he is very good, decent puncher altho not massive hes got enuff that guys arent going to walk him down. Id favour him over the likes of alexander and holt altho if Kendall can land a big shot if he can change a fight in a second. Styleistically i think someone like Matthysse might give him problems a big pressure fighter with real stopping power and Khan might have too many advantages in terms of height, reach (I know neither are massive) and speed but these things start to add up

I don't know, his jab was pretty damn poppin' against Katsidis. He almost looked unbeatable that night. My heart says Maidaina, but my head says Guerrero. He has progressed into a really good fighter these past few fights.

Guerrero's a guy who always had talent, but it wasn't until his wife's health got better that he really was able to improve and take the next step as a fighter. Since then he just gets better and better each time out. He's a tough draw for anyone at 140, and it wouldn't surprise me if he were able to beat any of the top guys there.

Ive only seen him agaINst katsIdiS, and he had a very good storng stiff jab, and a nice sharp 1-2

We will see how he fills in at 140 against big punching maidana. I think he should win easily, as long as he camn take some heat from maidana both to head and body.

If he comes through this, he'll give all at 140 a tough fight

As mentioned, Guerrero's 1 2 and uppercuts are very good but his hooks sometimes tend to get sloppy and turn into mostly arm punches. He will beat the very limited Maidana by a wide unanimous decision. His uppercut can be the deciding factor on if he TKO'S the headfirst charging Maidana as he is very open to it. :bbb

We shall see soon, we know he is very good at 135... but who knows he is draining himself a lot, and the move might benefit him a lot.

Maidana stops him in a tremendous fight. You guys are not giving Maidana a chance which is foolish.

Although at times he's looked a little hot-and-cold in the past, that might have been due to his out-of-the-ring. When he's on form, he's a very sharp, technical boxer. His jab and straight-left are quick, accurate and powerful - those punches alone will serve him well in most fights.

I'm not sure how far he can move up in weight before it has an adverse effect on him but he seems to have the frame for 140 and, in time, maybe even 147.

If he can handle Maidana, he'll be ready for just about anyone at junior-welter and from what GBP are saying, he could find himself in with Khan later this year.
