From Steve Kim at Maxboxing... -------------------- The name Humberto Soto has been thrown around as a possibility for Robert Guerrero on March 7th, but I get the sense his management will wait on that a while longer... -------------------- Interesting match up. That's a hell of a fight if it comes off and one that could easily go either way. Imagine if it does somehow go down on March 7th... James Kirkland vs. Joel Julio Roberto Guerrero vs. Humberto Soto Victor Ortiz vs. Mike Aranoutis
sounds good to me im a big RG fan and think it's 50/50 . but it would be a hell of a fight and a big step up at 130
good fight. I got Soto by tKO we could have the winner of that fight against the winner of John vs Juarez. and Linares against one of the losers.
Props to Guerrero, the man knows that the division is open and wants to take it before someone else does.
Thought Guerrero would go after the IBF belt seeing as he previously an IBF champion stepping up, and Baloyi is the weakest belt-holder in the division. But credit to him, Soto is one dangerous fighter and arguably the top dog in the division at the moment, even if he hasn't yet proved it.
im sure soto wins but that would depend on how skilled and powerful guerrero is because soto i believe has a good chin.
