I love both fighters so its one of those bitter sweets.

However Guerrero like i have been saying is the truth. He will dominate all the way to 147 and might even do good at 154.
Guerrero beats anyone at LW other than JMM. Yes Rios gets beat too.

As far as the fight i see Guerrero clearly outboxing Maidana for about 6 rounds then stopping him in about 8-10 rounds. His skills are great. I lost my faith in him after the Yordan fight but he showed it was just a bad night.

Its funny how one fight changes EVERYBODY's opinion.

Prior to April, NOBODY would have picked Guerrero to beat Maidana. Now Guerrero schools Kat, and Maidana struggles to beat Morales, and EVERYBODY picks Guerrero.

Not me. Maidana is alot better than Kat, and I honestly think he underestimated old man Morales. And even STILL, old man Morales took some bombs that I dont see Guerero handling.

I think Guerrero will outbox Maidana early, hurt him and maybe even put him on the canvas, Maidana will rally late as always, and I think he'll get Guerrero out.

Robert Guerrero might now be the most OVERRATED fighter in boxing, and ALL based on shutting out that bum Katsidis.

Guerrero dominate at 147? C'monnn stop this!

Rios would take Guerrero out. And at 140 I dont think Guerrero would beat Khan, Bradley, or Matthyse.

I cant wait til Maidana ends this Guerrero hype train.

I'm think Guerrero will, but by no means will it be a walk-over like some here are thinking. Maidana is being severely underestimated.

I notice à lot of people make predictions based on boxers last fights. Dont underestimate maidana.

I think Guerrero would outbox Rios with perhaps some scary moments.

He could beat Maidana too but, like you, I don't think his chin will hold upp for 12 rounds. Now I know that I thought that about Morales and Khan too - and look how they survived - but Morales has a better chin than Guerrero and Khan is bigger and stronger than Guerrero.

We will see how Guerrero's survival instinct is in this fight. His defense is good and he IS a very good boxer. At some point though Maidana will test him and I'm not sure he will be able to stand up to that. This is a different cat than Katsidis with more punching power and an actual ability, sloppy as it may seem, to connect and hurt all of his opponents. He's hurt iron-chinned, great defense Kotelnik, Khan, Cayo, Ortiz and to a lesser degree Morales. Katsidis is even more sloppy and fails to get his man out of there (barring Mitchell). Maidana has a bit of the same problem though so this isn't written in stone by no means. Look for Maidana to impose his physicality at some point and test him with pressure and punching power.

This gets even closer as I write. I'm picking Maidana late but Guerrero really impressed me against Katsidis and has confidence now. See, Guerrero is no Mayweather who would only shut down Maidana's offense completely in a so-so fight but is good enough to outbox and turn Maidana for large parts without getting overwhelmed immediately. I feel Maidana will get through sporadically and that's what will make it a good fight!
